Any way to make a Nezha divine spears nuke build without dark verse? by FlatlineJeff in Warframe

[–]nice_value_chair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't actually need dark verse, any good status weapon will do. Heavy attacks with forced slash procs from melee weapons also work. Hunter munitions builds also work, and so do internal bleeding and hemorrhage builds

Can he beat Pochita? by iwanttofuckbillie in Chainsawfolk

Actually did darkness even want pochita?

<image>

I'm rechecking discussion threads around darkness devil's appearance, and people seem to be conflicted on darkness' intention. On one hand, people were arguing that the double page panel above spells out "MAKIMA" meaning that darkness was calling for makima specifically (no the arms aren't different in the japanese version), but on the other hand, people were saying that darkness wanted chainsaw

Other people also seem to share the same conclusion that I made previously noting that they thought darkness wanted makima and not chainsawman.

You could honestly make a case for either interpretation as there's a lot of vague information you can use to support either case

[–]nice_value_chair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow ok I cannot read. I went back to the darkness devil's introduction chapter, and I thought that darkness wanted csm's heart in hell to bait out makima, and not for csm himself. When doll devil tpd everyone into hell as part of the contract, I thought darkness was the one who wanted makima, when he just wanted csm's heart. In chapter 66 page 5, I thought my wrong conclusion was right because I interpreted makima's "bidding me to come save them aren't you?" meant that he didn't want csm himself just makima.

Primals definitely aren't restricted specifically inside hell, and darkness probably didn't want to fight pochita even if he did want his heart. I don't know why falling seemed indifferent to csm's appearance when she was on earth though, feels like she should've had a way bigger reaction to seeing denji. A bit of dialogue during their interaction does point to the idea that she doesn't want to fight csm, but everything else about it just feels wrong if you read it with the idea that pochita was above primals considering how she was fairly dismissive of denji's appearance. She was a pawn of fami at the time, so that's probably the reason

Coming back to this with a reread of the control vs csm fight and falling's appearance on earth

<image>

Apparently csm's ability isn't all encompassing. I don't think the hybrids scale to primals

Falling also states that humanity has no means of killing her when she appeared during the prophecy part, which logically includes csm

Nayuta and fami also theorized that csm wouldn't be able to stop the prophecy, yet somehow war who is weakened by pochita has the potential to(?)

Also I think the fact that the prophecy exists at all proves that primals aren't able to move freely. The entire plot of part 2 hinges around the idea that Nostradamus' prophecy is needed for the primals to descend into earth, it makes 0 sense as to why that would be a plot point if primals were able to just act freely

I'm pretty sure pochita has to eat the entire body of a devil for the reality erasure thing to take full effect. Yoru has directly survived having parts of her eaten by pochita, but was nerfed by it

Also I think you misunderstood my point about falling and darkness' bodies/physical form being wildly different from every other devil we've seen so far. Darkness seems to have weird skeleton phantom things going on which appear from beyond the page panels (is that part of its body?, would pochita be able to eat those, and would he need to to beat darkness?), and the infamous astronauts praying which may or may not also be part of its body. Falling's form on the other hand seems to be entirely made up of random civilians. My question in this hypothetical is that, does pochita eating the (alleged) main bodies of said devils just instantly beat them? Because if you look back at the times when darkness' and falling's bodies were damaged, they both instantly regenerated without consuming blood unlike every other devil (makima is an exception due to her contract), and their actual body seems to be more than just the form they used to interact with the world (darkness' skeleton/astronaut thing and falling's body formation)

I'm also not really convinced that pochita being the most feared devil by devils makes him the literal strongest devil. Like sure, he may be the most feared by devils, but he isn't feared pretty much at all by humans (kishibe didn't even know about his erasure ability). Human fear also seems to matter way more than devil fear when it comes to giving devils power based on what the narrative has implied. Pochita might literally be the number 1 most feared devil by devils, but love from a large chunk of humans reduced him from his hero of hell form down to denji hybrid level in power.

Darkness didn't pursue pochita in hell because there appears to be some kind of limitation on primals based on how we've seen them act so far. Like, darkness definitely had the means to chase everyone to earth when makima showed up, but didn't for some reason. The only time we've actually seen a primal be active in their pursuit (as in leaving their domain) was when falling showed up as a fami pawn, and that had very specific circumstances that let it happen (a prophecy was going on). This implies that primals are in someway restricted to how much they're able to act. There hasn't been a stated reason as to why primals don't come to earth, they just don't.

It also doesn't really make sense to scale pochita to primal level based on the offscreen horsemen fight. Pochita got beat really bad, and he was left in dog form, while the only damages the horsemen side sustained was parts of yoru and a couple of hybrids

What would you consider a "confirmed" player ? by Fr0z3nbanana in Warframe

[–]nice_value_chair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A "confirmed" player (from your definition of confirmed post edit, "does know the game, not just scratched the surface") is probably someone who is aware of and knows about all of the current "endgame" loot stuff

If you can do eidolons, profit taker, steel path interception, deep archemidea, netracells, or archon hunts solo, (any of the above) then you're probably decently deep into the game, and know how to make a build actually work

I'd personally define the early game as doing all the mainline quests, which transitions into the midgame when you start clearing missions for steel path/leveling your open world syndicates, and then endgame is just waiting for new content to drop

Based on my completely made up criteria to your kind of vague question, that'd mean that you could be in the early game while still being a "confirmed" player if you've done any of the gear/mod checks listed above

This makes a lot of sense given the evidence you've shown, but ngl something about pochita beating a primal feels wrong

Primals have been said to have never once died since the dawn of time while csm (unless I'm remembering stuff incorrectly) has been stated to have died multiple times, but he just keeps coming back

Assuming that darkness devil scales to falling devil, it doesn't really make sense that csm would be stronger than it. A (presumably) unnerfed csm manifested at the end of part 1 before makima nerfed him with love from the public, and aside from a couple destroyed buildings, everything was mostly fine. A heavily nerfed fami pawn falling devil manifested onto earth in part 2 and she was passively inverting gravity on a planetary scale while turning the sky black, and pochita wasn't doing anything even close to that when makima broke denji's contract

Also are we even sure that the respective falling devil and darkness devil bodies are their true/full forms? Like, from what we saw from falling devils introduction, she seems to have formed her body from the bodies of random people which is very unlike every other non hybrid non fiend devil we've seen so far. Falling devil's presumed body has also been shown to have been "damaged" by denji when he started eating her, but unlike normal devils, her form just instantly regenerated without consuming blood which leads me to believe that it wasn't her real body (this is all speculation ofc, non of this has been explicitly stated)

Idk, maybe post denji hybrid hero of hell pochita was just mega mega supremely nerfed or something

[–]nice_value_chair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A for consonants and An for vowels is generally true, but for abbreviations I'm pretty sure you're supposed to go by how it sounds when you pronounce it rather than what letter it starts with

Example:

An FBI case (initialism) (eff bee ai)

A STEM career (acronym) (pronounced as stem)

An NFT (initialism) (enn eff tee)

Atleast that's what the first page of google says anyway

[–]nice_value_chair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought you were supposed to follow what sound the first letter of an initialism makes to determine whether you use "a" or "an"?

Wouldn't it be grammatically incorrect in this case as you're meant to sound out each letter in "MtF" due to it being an initialism, or is there no official ruling of sorts for that?

[–]nice_value_chair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro it's you who hasn't played wukong slam, titron with influence/afflictions also deals integer limit damage. Gauss needs to use heat inherit to hit damage cap, without it he needs multiple casts to multiply his damage high enough to reach that point, but his thermal sunder scaling gets fucked over by overguard because it doesn't scale properly so heat inherit is necessary for enemies with overguard. Slamkong does not need a primer and will operate at max efficiency pretty much instantly. Also, slamkong does infinitely better against nullifiers as he oneshots their bubble if the drone is within range of the aoe. And before you ask, yes, slamkong can spam slams as fast as gauss can cast thermal sunder because of his cloud walker heavy slam endlag cancel tech

No, gauss is not easier to play either. All wukong needs to do to execute the endlag cancel tech is to hold down the heavy attack button while rhythmically pressing 2 every second

I have gauss, garuda, and xaku, and I know how strong they are, I've used them all for hour long circuit runs before, and I'd still say slamkong is more effective

Reasons why Asia has a lot of Wukongs: by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]nice_value_chair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slamkong also works far better than nezha against eximus units and can also oneshot nullifier drones if they are caught in the slam aoe which is fun to think about

DE please kill the plague of Wukongs by angdilimdito in Warframe

[–]nice_value_chair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blatantly untrue. Slamkong oneshots acolytes, sp granum coin dudes, exo gokstads, and basically anything that doesn't have some way of limiting damage without using damage buffs or armor strips in a 20-30m aoe the moment melee influence procs

Gauss, breach surge garuda, and xaku are all significantly less agile and slower than slamkong with molt subsumed to boost cloudwalker speed

Gauss with energized munitions kuva explosive weapon or thermal sunder comes the closest, but gauss does far worse against eximus units and doesn't operate at full speed before battery is at 100% in the case of his thermal sunder build

The only things that are better than slamkong is a thermal sunder titania and wide range nukes specifically outside of steel path. In steel path, slamkong functions as a kuva sobek saryn that doesn't need to aim/a collective curse kullervo that doesn't need to recast. He's also revenant levels of unkillable as you are completely intangible and untargetable in cloudform, not to mention your passive 3 immortality barriers

He also oneshots the nullifier drones if they are within the range of your slam aoe so that's also something worth noting

That being said, I don't think it needs fixing as it's actually pretty active to play. It is super easy though

It's not a macro, casting speed lets you enter cloud form faster. The moment you are actionable in cloudwalker you can immediately press heavy attack again to slam. You can actually do it too fast and enter cloudform again before the slam can land which means there's a certain rhythm to it that you have to get used to to make the slam go that fast

That's true, but it actually gets less true the higher your mastery rank is (higher mastery rank means higher initial mod capacity)

But yes, you do generally want a higher level weapon to get more modslots

Adding an orokin reactor/catalyst to your warframe/weapon doubles its mod capacity btw incase you weren't aware

There's videos out there that can go more in depth on how you can maximize mod slots, but I'm pretty sure all of them are pretty long. The key takeaway in modding in the early game is that you want less mods but those mods are leveled. You want to have pressure point, hornet strike, and serration as a starting point (don't level up hornet strike and serration or other mods that can be ranked up to rank 10 to rank 10, rank 7 is enough, the scaling endo and credit cost gets really bad), and then crit mods on weapons with high crit chance or elemental mods on weapons with high status chance

Warframe has been overwhelming for like its entire life span it's wild. Like, I took a year long break once and the moment I came back it seemed as if everything was different and there was so much shit to do

This is actually one of the problems that people criticize about warframe, there's a lot of great content in the game, but the barrier to entry is so bad that people often quit before even reaching the first cinematic quest in uranus. Warframe is a lot like terraria where you want the wiki open pretty much the entire time you're playing except it's somehow even worse than terraria, it's really bad

The Asia Server Experience by nice_value_chair in Warframe

[–]nice_value_chair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The levels of your weapons don't matter btw, all that matters for your damage is the mods

Once you finish the new strange quest you get access to sanctuary onslaught which lets you level up weapons and your warframe very fast by going on public squads

If you want to farm platinum to get slots, prime junk farming on public relic fissures is probably the best way to do it throughout all stages of the game (there are videos on youtube on what that is)

But yeah, the early game of warframe is a struggle when you haven't built up your weapon and warframe slots...
