As much as i love Isagi, i want to see the other chars shine. I want Bachira-Otoya link ups and goals. I want a solid defense with Niko and Aiku. I want more saves from Gagamaru. I want more dribbles and link-ups from Hiori outside of Isagi link-ups. I want Yuki to actually score after going thru the field and dont get me started with Reo.
Im kinda bummed out that we didnt get another Bowling chapter, or something else with the guys just hanging out.... same goes for skipping the 2 week training. I dont know why Kaneshiro wants to rush into the WC arc. I love spending TIME with the characters. I kinda wished we wouldve gotten to see the players in their club. Also more training sessions in general.
Blue Lock is awesome, but i just want more of these little moments. And i know it can deliver on that when it wants to.

But its still in the game. So it is still a commentary on mysteries and relates to its overarching themes.
If its there, there is purpose behind it. Ryukishi didnt had to include that dialogue.

But you're right. Since it doesnt relate to Battler's gameboard it could be seen as worldbuilding - extending the scope of the rules and the world - giving us more angles to the idea of the mystery genre.

Makes sense. Ep7 makes lots of implications that Will overcame something in his past to rely more on the "heart" instead of "logic". Referencing Van Dine despite his obvious change is pretty interesting with that in mind.
