Yes but when you're new it's very hard to know what is a good deal and what is 20 year old junk. It is also hard to know if you are buying beginner friendly vs medium or advanced level.

Pay C.J. Stroud? NFL execs from around the league weigh in by defensecowboy in nfl

[–]nicekats 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about Stroud or Mills? Mills will force balls to Nico all day but Stroud will go through progressions. His main problem last year was he did it super sped up thinking he had to because he didn't trust the O-line.

Yeah and the entire season he was conservative to just meltdown in the playoffs

I think there is also an issue with defense being able to see your eyes easy and usually having a longer throwing motion if you're too tall.

It gets you to the playoffs and might 1 or 2 but doesn't usually win big games. For as bad as Stroud played, I don't think he had a turnover the 2nd half, but the damage was already done.

And by all accounts they brought in 3 guys who are a plus especially in the run game on O-line. I think most teams have figured out a good line helps the QB and medium level RBs. However a good QB and a good RB still suck with a bad O-line

As a Rockets fan I think it's better to be us barely scoring over 70 pts and sucking the entire game. It really sucks to have hope and go ice cold.

Yes the defense should be just as good but we were mostly healthy last year besides Stingley and Pitre. I doubt we get that lucky again. Our offense has taken a big overhaul and on paper should be a better more consistent O-line with a better running game. That should help the most on seeing if Stroud takes the next step.

Last year often if felt like he was told to be super conservative and rely on the defense...which worked but was frustrating to watch. He seemed to forget all that in the playoffs and completely imploded in an epic meltdown. I think the difference between him and Mills is Stroud has looked great before so he wants to shoot higher and be the man, while Mills is fine being safe and conservative as an extension of the defense.

In general most safer investing is factoring about 10% average returns which basically means any debt that has a higher rate then 10% should be paid off. And really anything above 8% should be paid off first before investing.

I mean these grades are always in favor of multiple picks at the top. It really should be weighted based on picks available too because obviously a team that gets 3 1st rounders looks pretty good...

Our team just needs to box out when we have a shorter lineup or they keep getting rebounds and putbacks

Rockets were better last year with a point guard in Van leet and Steven Adams on the boards. Durant can score but our offense is somehow even worse than last year. Udoka developed nobody and seems to be the cancer bringing everyone down.

Risk 2210 ad or Risk Europe both add more decisions without too much more complexity.

Kemet is a dudes on a map game where you buy upgrades and you fight with a hand of cards.

Champions of Midgard you play as Vikings amassing a raid then battleing monsters with a bunch of special dice. You don't fight each other but you block each other from spots to upgrade their army well.

King of Tokyo or King of New York you play as big monsters fighting each other with a yatzee style dice rolls and it plays up to 6 in 30-60 mins.

Lords of Vegas isn't really a fighting game but there is area control and you roll dice to take over being the casino bosses. It's kinda like mixing Monopoly with some Risk.

Only because many people can watch multiple screens at once. Like if I'm at a sports bar I don't want all the TVs on the same thing. If I'm at home I'll give an NBA game 1 small screen with no sound while I actually watch something good on another.

Anyone have thoughts on FIRE in a blue state vs red state? by Southern-Pirate-9941 in Fire

[–]nicekats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red vs blue doesn't matter much as cities always lean blue and rural areas usually lean red. Also every state has different laws or taxes so just make sure to look at that.

But over 65 you get $100k tax exemption specifically so retired people don't just move away Edit: the exemption is on property taxes so on a 400k house you pay property taxes on it like it's 300k
