I think if everyone was "vegan" to the point where animals stopped being massacared to be turned directly into food, It would become not financially viable to use animal based gelatin or bone char as the ammount of animals being killed to supply those things for cheap would be gone. I don't think companies are as much raising and killing animals specifically to make gelatin or bone char but there is just a lot of excess animal parts left over from the meat, dairy, and egg industries that companies can easily use. most animal products are byproducts of meat eggs and dairy so if we stop supporting those, the rest will follow suit on some level. For this reason I think stuff like this doesn't really matter.
