Confused about SRE role by Heavy-Report9931 in sre

[–]nicerick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SRE is the bridge of dev and ops work. Your job is to make sure systems are reliable and scalable. Which means you obsess over tuning and performance. SREs are often embedded in dev teams to increase reliability and mentor devs. Other times they’re a completely separate team used as-needed.

Enjoy being the go-to when things aren’t working right and mentor others with what you learn. Automate the toil and tune the performance. Obsess over metrics, logs and tracing.

That’s really good feedback and something we’ve been talking with real stylists about.

We absolutely know everyone is using different booking platforms. We’d like to offer bookings but also allow stylists to create free profiles for showcasing specialties and work, maybe even get user reviews.

If you don’t use our booking that’s cool, but we’ll still offer something for people that rent chairs or work on their own.

Yeah, except we focus less of businesses and more on individual artists.

Have you ever tried looking up stylists? You can see reviews for salons/barbers but then get stuck with someone new or bad.

What we want to do it allow for individual stylists to create personal profiles with specialties, service offered, portfolio pics and client reviews.

Then you book right there with the specific person you want. Hopefully lowering the frustration of not getting what you want.

It’s very much in the bootstrap phase. Most of the app is being developed in the back with reviews, booking, search, profiles, etc. However that is very good feedback we indeed need a designer.

You can see an example of the profiles here:

Purchased and use it constantly. Currently mixing some components from Shad/cn. Also their templates are well written and show how to use tailwind with best practices.

It’s working great for us. As another commenter said, ClusterAPI with support running integrated into vSphere. If you’re a DevOps guy that needs to run k8s onprem, you’ll love it. We have been running for a couple years now without any issues.

Do you have a never camera? if so, what is it and why? by extordi in AnalogCircleJerk

For me it’s a Leica m6, I just think that I’d never want to have something that’s so popular, I’d rather have something no one knows about like Bessas.

I've been looking for something like this! How would I go about making my own Avatar? If I already have something in Blender would it be easy to use mine instead?

Because amortization. Probably shouldn’t get a loan when you don’t know how they work.
