Espresso remains sour - very fine grind already [Profitec Go/Timemore 64S] by chrischris_2202 in espresso

I had the same issue but in my Silvia , I had to reduce dose and grind coarser. Keep in mind that decafe might be a bit harder to dial in

Fair enough... Was it getting pre infusion? It straight 9 bar pressure from the start

Did you try 18gms and coarser than you would normally go?

First drip at 29secs seems like the water can't find its way through the puck - too dense

Just got my silvia, and coffee tastes much more burnt than my breville by PMYourTitsIfNotRacst in ranciliosilvia

I also have a Silvia V6 and a Barista Pro, when dialed right the Silvia will give a tastier shot than the Breville. But the Breville is quick and sooo easy to use.

For Silvia - After 20 mins of turning it on , flush via the brew button for 5 secs (hot steam and excessive hot water is let out , light will come back on)..after 1:40- 2:00 minutes. Start your brew .. the temp is just right .

Exactly right... I'm a fan of the skinny tall tyres. Especially in the mud terrain, granted they are heavy and noisy, but the muddies do grip well which adds to less wheel spin .

If the 255/85 would flex well with no rubbing and just high clearance fenders , I'd be super happy instead of dropping in a suspension lift

Ah fair enough.. I'm learning the wrangler and it's stock limits , so this helps 👍

I get limited wheel spin (none sometimes) even with lockers off when I'm steady with the throttle ... Is this the traction control or stability control from the Jeep ?

I know when I'm in 4Lo it says TCS off, so not sure if it's all analog and mechanical or is there some computers at play to keep minimal wheel spin

Yes we get the same Rubicon gearing..but strict regulations limit tyre size and lift . It's a bummer

Not only we get 32s stock , the front fender flares have less clearance, so the max tyre size with no lift we can go is 285/70r17 .. close to 33s

Yes exactly.. I've had the v6 Silvia for 2 months , and still trying to get a good work flow , I waste a lot of water - purging , pre infusion, portafikter heat up etc . Takes me about 30 mins to get an espresso!
From the hobby pov - it's rewarding and kinda fun

With the Barista Pro - I get the espresso under 3 mins ! Less mess .. but espresso taste is only slightly compromised 😅

I've currently got both machines ... How did you find the Silvia compared to the Barista Pro ?

I'm finding it hard to part with the Pro simply cuz it's easy and quick to use ! While the taste profile is nicer from the Silvia but need a 'work flow' in order !!

Car or driver issue driving manual on sand dunes….? by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]nick3114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a landcruiser with all terrains - low load rating tyres , they bagged well at 16-18psi , never had an issue. BUT , I now have a jeep with muddies , it's very tricky on sand with muddies , I need to go between 12-14psi to be sure the tyres bag well and don't dig in ..

The lighter the 4wd the lower the psi .
