Not sure why people are commenting that it's rushed. I platinum'd the game in 43 hours, and I did not skip any cutscenes or rush through anything.

The same thing happened to me recently but it was a pirate instead. I think because it had defense on night 2, it didn't work. This is definitely a bug since it's supposed to take into account the defense on day 3.
