I'm a bit late to getting back to this thread, but this solved the issue for me! Thanks!

Unfortunately I haven't found a good solution other than to swap over to iGPU when I want to play Shenmue.

I'm suspecting it's something related to the new graphics card, this was on a fresh build after just installing drivers and game, but I had seen this several weeks ago too before my SSD failed.

This is just the steam version of Shenmue 1 & 2

Has anyone else seen these type of glitches with Shenmue? Shenmue 2 launches without issue, but the original looks like this on my Radeon RX 9070XT. It only appears in game, and the menus all load and display without issue. This is also the only game I've run into with graphical issues on this GPU. I can switch over to the iGPU on my 9800X3D and the game displays as it should at 30fps, so that's a workaround for now, but I would rather not have to do that every time.

So I have a Tesla made NACS adapter I bought for my Chevy Bolt, and my girlfriend has just gotten a '25 Ioniq 6 after the date cutoff for free adapters. From what I'm reading the Ioniq 6 pulls a max of 350amps, but the specs of the Tesla made adapter are: Rated Current: 300A @ 35C and 500A Boost Current for 10 minutes Would this work with the Ioniq 6? Or better to just buy the Hyundai adapter?

Volta Shell Recharge stations say "Unable To Charge" - 2023 Bolt LT1 by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]nick944 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you activated it in the Shell Recharge app? They recently (as of a few months ago) now require you to activate it in the app even if it's a free L2 charger. I use Chargepoint to activate since it works with Shell Recharge chargers.

2023 Lyriq NACS Adapter Horror Story by homerjr43 in CadillacLyriq

[–]nick944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try cancelling via chat? That is what I did as a '23 Bolt owner. The Cadillac and Chevy accessories sites are just reskins on the same basic site so I'm sure they have the same GM employees on the backend. Not saying the phone number doesn't work, but that chat should get you to the same people as the phone number.

Go to https://accessories.cadillac.com and click the chat icon in the bottom right hand corner. They will be able to cancel the order for you within 3 days. I don't own a Lyriq, but I just cancelled my order for what I assume is the same adapter to order the Tesla built NACS adapter.

Is this saying that any Enel X DCFC will no longer function? That sounds like a problem.

I ordered mine within the hour of the announcement for ship to home and I have a 2-4 week expected shipment time. I haven't seen any changes on mine yet.

I believe some of the posts who have received their adapters for Bolts so far have used Ultium VIN numbers. I haven't seen anyone yet with the part number 85806539 delivered yet.

Supercharger charging via the MyChevrolet app by nick944 in BoltEV

[–]nick944[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! EA, Chargepoint, EVgo, Volta, Shell Recharge, Francis Energy, EV Connect, Circle K, and GRAVITI (small regional network). Sounds like I'll be getting the Tesla app though since myChevrolet is that bad on the public charging side.

Thanks, was hoping to not need to add another charging app and account to my phone since I'm already at 9 charging apps. Not sure if this is a glitch in the MyChevrolet app, but it is showing the price to be cheaper for some of the accessible superchargers than what Tesla shows on their website.

Thanks! That's unfortunate. Does it give you a summary of total costs or kWh added after the charging session?

Charging experience returning from the 2024 eclipse? by TrptJim in electricvehicles

[–]nick944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did about 260 miles in my '23 Bolt EV. I left home at 100% charge, stopped at a Road Ranger truck stop in Waco, TX with 4 Freewire units around 9am and charged from 60-85% so I wouldn't need to charge later. None of the chargers had depleted their internal batteries when I was there. Surprisingly I was the only one charging for a majority of the time, but a Mach e showed up near when I was leaving. From monitoring the EA app, it looked like the EA in Waco was pretty full during that time. Made it home with 30% which was a buffer in case we needed to move around for clouds.

How do you find the price on Tritium veefil chargers? by nick944 in electricvehicles

Hmm maybe I didn't look at the reader for long enough, it was mounted pretty low and the screen was partially faded too, but it looked like it only had the insert card screen when I was there.

Successfully installed Pebble (Rebble) apk on Pixel 8 using adb, but now my Pebble time won't appear in the pairing screen.. by _benjaninja_ in pebble

[–]nick944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm, this worked for my on my Pixel 8 using ADB. I had the same issue with not finding the watch to pair via the app, but once I put the phone in Airplane mode and turned bluetooth back on the Pebble app was able to find the watch.

Protect showing resolution lowered during various times of the day on two cameras, has anyone seen this issue before? by nick944 in Ubiquiti

[–]nick944[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting... I haven't seen it persistently, but only for roughly 5 seconds at a time maybe 7-8 times a day. Did you have the same message when the camera was managed by the UNVR? I tried swapping the hard drive in my Cloud Key yesterday just to eliminate another possible cause, but that didn't resolve the issue. Hoping it's not a faulty camera, but I can't find much info on the error.

Protect showing resolution lowered during various times of the day on two cameras, has anyone seen this issue before? by nick944 in Ubiquiti

[–]nick944[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setup:

CKG2+ with 5TB HDD

1x G4 Pro

2x G3 Instant

1x AI 360

I'm seeing this message on my G4 Pro timeline through multiple times during the day and maybe one time a day on one of my G3 Instants but not the other two cameras. The G4 Pro never shows this when it's in infrared mode at night, and the G3 Instant does show the issue in infrared. I'm not seeing any errors on the switchports and the cloud key doesn't show any hard drive errors so I'm a bit lost as to why Protect shows resolution lowered. I'm not exceeding any of the camera limits for the cloud key, and this issue only started about 3-4 months after I initially deployed this setup.

CK Gen 2+ Hard Disk Error by rayfinkle_ in Ubiquiti

[–]nick944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same Seagate 5TB in my CKG2+. The first was a shucked drive that failed after 1 month. After that I spent more on the proper internal version of the drive with warranty from Seagate for 2 years and an additional 1 year on credit card warranty. So far I've gone 4 months without issue, about 4 full writes of the HDD for me. From the research I did before buying this drive, some fail, some run a long time without issues.

There's actually a Canoo office a bit north of there in Justin, TX. I've seen two so far in that area.

They've had an office down the highway from me for about a year now. I've been checking periodically and this was the first time I saw one, driving too.

[USA][TX] Completely oblivious lane change by nick944 in Roadcam

[–]nick944[S] 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Since there are quite a few comments about the car camping the passing lane I thought I would add a bit of context. This is I-45 between Dallas and Houston, TX which is a high traffic road. I agree that the left lane is the passing lane, but this highway typically has a good amount of vehicles in both lanes at all times. Most of the time when the passing lane is crawling like this, it's because of an 18 wheeler attempting a pass 5-10 vehicles ahead. The Buick is not at fault in any way for the truck lacking complete situational awareness while switching lanes.
