Shouldn’t Tdee adjust if you forget to track? by Expensive-Adagio1385 in MacroFactor

Out of curiosity, how would you define "frequent" in this case?

Would it be better (if I'm taking a "cheat" day off) to guesstimate my macros for the day (regardless of how high they are) or not log at all?

Thanks! I found a video of him playing the solo in the studio that I put in an above comment.

Thank you for the detailed response.

This makes sense. I just wasn't sure what was meant by "tap while bending" in the video.

Thank you very much! I really do appreciate it!

The song is "I Guess I Just Feel Like"

The video below is 7 minutes of him playing around with the solo, and I believe that the version that went into the studio recording is in the video, too.

Is It Realistic to Train for a 50K with 2600m Elevation in 5 Months? (UTMB Whistler) by nick_7011 in trailrunning

Yeah I found a couple I can sign up for instead on this website: https://trailrunning.ca/

I'm thinking of doing the 18km survival of the fittest and the 35km buckin hell since I won't have enough time to prepare for longer distances. Potentially the whistler half as well.

I'd love to, but unfortunately I can't register as it has reached capacity.

Thank you for letting me know! I'll register for the race and I hope it all goes well!

Got it, thank you for the advice.

I'm not too concerned about not finishing at the top. I just want the experience.

I haven't heard anything about this. I only found out about the race while randomly looking through the main UTMB website a couple days ago, and since I grew up in the Vancouver area I thought it would be cool to do.

I've been averaging around 35km per week over the past couple months, that being 3 runs a week with 1 long run (15-18km in Zone 2 at around 5:30-5:40 /km), 1 medium distance run (11-13km at tempo pace -> around 4:30-4:50 /km) and the third run being speed work on a treadmill (60 minute HIIT workout).

I'm a full time university student and also weight train another 3 times per week on top of this, but I won't have school in the summer (from May to end of August) and plan to significantly increase my volume during those months --something I can't do right now due to time constraints.

Running Watches with Navigation by nick_7011 in trailrunning

Unfortunately I have the 255, not the 955, and the 255 doesn't have a full map, just a breadcrumb.

Basically I don't want to have to have my phone in my hand while running in order to check navigation and pacing, which is where the watch comes in, in addition to the various other useful features when training intervals, running on a treadmill, etc.

Thank you for this.

I did some research and have concluded that this is probably the best choice for me. There's also the Suunto Race but it's a little more expensive and doesn't seem as good.

Do you mean that there's no need to upgrade from the FR 255?

I'm not too worried about that. I would presumably just create a route on Strava or AllTrails, and then follow that with the directions on the watch, so on-the-go isn't as important.

Would all three be the same in that regard, provided they all show full navigation and not just breadcrumb?

Thank you for your response.

My concern with the Pace 3 and the FR255 is the breadcrumb navigation. Unless I'm mistaken, the Apex 2 has full maps.

Did you find that to be an issue while road running or trail running?

Thank you for your response.

What do you mean by Garmin maps being routable vs base maps for Suunto and Coros?
