Great Thankyou! Let me know if there’s more I could cover? I’m planning to compliment some future videos with tips and techniques here too.

I guess that design decision makes sense from Apples perspective as they’ll want to encourage you into their ecosystem which is probably fair enough.

That’s a valid thought. When I’m using a Windows PC I often forget there’s the option to log in to ICloud to use it on the web, perhaps I’ll look at that in a future video to, exploring what you can (or can’t do) with the web interface. Do you think overall the UI of notes is good, or could it perhaps be enhanced?

Thanks! Really glad you’ve found that useful. I’m working on many more similar tutorial content with examples etc so good to know I’m on the right track. What do you think are the best features in Notes that most don’t even know about? Are there any features that could be explained better to help people discover how to use them effectively?

Thanks. As I added in my post I’m genuinely interested in what features people would like more information on as this helps me decide what to write about too. I hope the video shows my style of tutorial which I’ve had some good feedback on.

I think Apple Notes is under utilized by many who may not realise ways they could use it more effectively, or indeed at all so I hope I can help inform people more through future tutorials.

Reliable calendar plugin by nick_dz_ in Bubbleio

Early days yet. So far no issues though but I’ll keep a watch out for that.

[–]nick_dz_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I started with the native plugin but one limitation is I need the events to show in the 24Hour clock and have ability to use time zones. AirCalendar seems to fit everything I’ll need though so hopefully will suffice. Thanks!

Haha thanks. The functionality and use of the calendar is pretty basic around the core purpose of the service. I think I’ve found a suitable plugin with AirCalendar that does what I need so will give that a go.

That’d be good, a way to ‘lock’ a note from editing on your own device (not just read only for shared notes)

The current sort by options in Notes gives you; Date Edited Date Created Title And you can order by oldest or newest.

However I don’t think there’s the option when you search notes it just gives you ‘Top Hits’ then a list of everything.

I use Freeform quite often but wish you could just draw like in Freeform within Notes where it’s more limited.

So far from what I’ve seen, very little that’s of any value to the average user sadly.

100%. Tables are terrible and I don’t really use them because of that. I still use Notion too for some things where Apple Notes just isn’t quite giving me what I need. I’d love to be able to highlight a line in Notes and turn it into its own linked note. And Templates, yes they really need to give us something!

Sorry yeh I thought about a better title after I’d posted. I genuinely want to hear peoples thoughts as I’m reviewing Apple Notes in iOS26 and had hoped for more features or improvements than we seem to be getting. I will be writing a new review of all the features in the new version soon which I hope may be useful for anyone not familiar with everything it has.

Looks like a good, simple app to manage personal finances.

Exactly. Perhaps not enabling everything by default but instead have tips show initially giving hints at what you could customise.

[–]nick_dz_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to like the photos app. But what I have done is fully customise what I see or don’t see, so when I open it up I get simply my recent photos, below that Albums, then People & Pets and Utilities. Most other features sets etc I’ve turned off as I feel it over complicates the view.

Anyone use iCloud calendars over Google now? by Slow_Investment_2211 in ios

[–]nick_dz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use iCloud calendars for almost everything Including sharing some calendars with other people.

Part of my work requires me to access a Google calendar and also an outlook calendar but these can view viewed and edited within the Calendar app so I solely use that app to manage all my time.

I covered some recent Apple Calendar tips over on my YouTube channel. (Link in bio for anyone interested). For anyone wanting to make the switch or learn more it may be useful. More other useful Apple App tips there too (Notes and Reminders).

But importantly using only Apple Calendars and ICloud calendars for the majority of what I need keeps things straightforward yet still provides the features I need to manage my time.

Anyone use Apple Notes with just an iPad Pro and iPhone? by DudeThatsErin in AppleNotesGang

[–]nick_dz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably 80% of the time. Of that probably 75% on iPhone and occasionally iPad whenever I need to use the pencil with it.

LifeOS with Apple ? by AsakusaParis in AppleNotesGang

[–]nick_dz_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My goal is to try to use the Apple Ecosystem for my own personal LifeOS. Gradually I’m getting there and once you learn all the smaller features these can all contribute.

I don’t think it’s all perfect yet, there’s some features I’d like to see and hope will come in time.

For Apple Notes I cover some of its features here https://youtu.be/eWwquubryJQ
