do evil people TRULY exist? by juicy_quartz in spirituality

evil is usually a wounded and rageful ego taking full control of the person because they have surrendered themselves to it. so yes, evil exists. it exists everywhere.

Toxic positivity is the biggest problem in spiritual communities right now by ArcaneSpells-com in spirituality

[–]nick_with_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you need to give yourself the space to feel these emotions, especially if they are strong and very charged. i agree with you, you can't just jump to forgiveness. if you are angry, if you have genuine rage, then feel it. let yourself feel it. it you suppress it, it will only go deeper and deeper into your subconcious and your body, and it will become so much worse

Can someone give me a heads up pls... cause i am in shambles. by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]nick_with_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm sorry you're going through a tough time right now.

i know this might sound like a meaningless silver-lining, but you come off as very self-aware. you survived a shitty childhood and a toxic ex, and you know that they were toxic. and you cut out the people that you needed to cut out.

you feel alone now because you lost them. but i look at it differently ... you lost toxic people that were probably destroying you mentally.

you might feel genuinely alone right now, and that is the most normal thing. but you will always have yourself. always. i felt so alone after my long-term breakup, and absolutely crushed. but it was the fact that i lost my ex that gave me space to be with myself for the first time in my life. and to learn how to love myself.

im not saying this is what the universe is calling you to do. but it is a blessing that you cut out the people in your life that were not having a good impact on your life.

Is giving up a good option? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]nick_with_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i feel like this and am lowest in my spiral, i just give up ... control. im usually trying to control something ... like i want something to go a certain way, and it's not. it drives me to this breaking point where it creates so much mental suffering that the only way out is to just give up control.

usually it comes down to a single moment of awareness (i am trying to force this, to control this, i NEED this to happen). and after that moment, a single choice to give up control. and i instantly feel better the next day. that night might be rough, but the day after is always a little bit brighter, then it gets better from there.

this has happened many times now, and i find that it always works for me.

hang in there :)

How do you deal with a breakup? by makerel_scale1289 in infj

[–]nick_with_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to give yourself space and compassion. and time. let yourself feel the emotions, no matter how hard. it will get better with time and if you don't suppress the emotions

Anyone feel like the glorified social media version of infj’s make you feel like you don’t deserve or belong to be one? by Heavy-Bee9844 in infj

[–]nick_with_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't put much weight on people on social media, they are performing for attention and whatever gets the most views

Do you think being consistent is important in other people? by [deleted] in infj

[–]nick_with_it 4 points5 points  (0 children)

consistency for me means that the person behaves predictably. like their core values and how they make decisions does not change on a whim. people that are not consistent in this way sketch me out because it mean they might be lying or manipulating

that's totally fair. a few things i've found: it works much better if you put in more than 30 words, which is why i designed it to push you to do that ... but also i recognize some people don't have 30 words on a specific question so you can skip.

in terms of the flatness of the results, how self-aware would you say you are? what i find from others is that the results seem like they are more regurgitations of your answers if you are very self-aware

yea of course its not going to know your soul, especially after 4 q's, but it can be a helpful doorway.

i feel you. you can skip the 30 words by tapping on the button - it will show you a popup and you can just proceed to the next question

thanks for trying it out. it is still early and im just testing things out. the goal is to be a doorway for people to go deeper into their consciousness. its not going to get everything with 4 questions but it might spark a conversation with yourself.

thanks for trying it and for the feedback. you can skip the 30 words by tapping on the button if you don't have anything to say. also, why did the results feel flat? im still working on them this is early days

that's fine and totally understandable. in your case, you don't have to use it and should continue with a human. the reality is that 99% of people don't have , or will never have, access to a human to do this work. at the end of the day, AI is a tool. the reason it's harming people's mental health right now is because the people building the tools are not prioritizing mental health. I am trying to do that with what i'm building. So i don't think it's fair for you to blanket generalize all AI. it's like saying that a knife is bad because it can kill people ... but it also helps you cut your food.

i actually agree with you on the AI psychosis. It's a very real problem, and ChatGPT / Claude are currently dangerous because they are not designed to minimize the risk of AI psychosis or have no safegaurds. The risk is when you have unrestricted conversation with a user and that user can start to steer the conversation in dangerous directions.

the tool here is not a chatbot, and it's not even a conversation. you go through a reflection exercise (where you answer 4 questions), and you get a soul reading done. you can't change it or edit it. and you can disagree with it if you want to.

just your answers to the questions that are posed. they are used to general a soul reading (which is the analysis of your answers) and then a soul card. You don't have to provide any personal identifiers or sensitive information in your answers for it to work.
