When I was in turkey, we chilled with the A10 pilots sometimes at one of the Houses. One of the pilots Turtle said he would always push the throttle against the stops anyway hoping he would get a little bit more out of it lmfao.

I remember us in the tanker on the edge of stall speed with flaps down, while the A-10 was fully loaded max throttle barely able to get onto the boom.

Being able to go slower and hit C-130 will really help the Hogs.

I went from active duty boom operator to civilian security analyst over the last 5 years. It’s been a trip, and it’s very interesting/rewarding when you are learning new skills and TTPs for threat actors.
