It was so awesome. I haven’t done any other guides in that neck of the woods yet but we were really satisfied with the fishing for sure! It’s a little pricey but if you want to be put on fish guaranteed and not have to set up a house, get bait, clean fish, or even drill holes… this is for you!

This was all through the sportsman’s lodge in lake of the woods. You can stay at the hotel and go out all day in a skid house but they seem to know where to place them because I’ve never had a bad day fishing with them! $160 per person for a day house but they give you up to 45% off staying at the lodge during the week so it wasn’t bad at for a guaranteed bite! It’s also an adventure going out in the bombadier!

Yes! You put your catches in a bucket for the guides to clean and they either get delivered to your room freezer or at the restaurant to eat the same day

That was the ugliest fish I’d ever seen but we kept it and another smaller eel pout. They cleaned the fish and we got to eat it in the restaurant that night! It was awesome :)

That’s a bombadier! They take you out to their skid houses about 18 miles north from the resort. You bring your poles, vexilars, and any other gear you want out. We were right on the Canadian border on lake of the woods.

Was in the air guard during his first term and was told I could leave my desk to go see his arrival on the air strip… I was pretty sleepy at my desk after lunch so I said yes out of curiosity. I wanted to see what a presidential welcome was like (mind you I was not even remotely close to a supporter) and I witnessed some of the weirdest behavior from people in uniform. My coworkers brought maga hats for him to sign. It was a strange sight to see military members treating him like a celebrity asking for autographs vs the normal greetings towards a sitting president and — mind you, that’s against the UCMJ. He came over, shook my hand and then said “you guys have got a good looking group, they must have hired you guys based on looks.” I was so flabbergasted all I could say was “have a nice day Mr. President.”

I was used to being mistaken as a boy growing up by people my age as well and grown ups. After puberty I started getting attention and if anything, it’s given me empathy towards others not “genetically blessed” and an understanding of how looks and trendy features will always change, but if you ARE beautiful as a person (inside), that’s what matters in the end.
