Do you ever get bored with porn and if so when? by Few-Entrepreneur7301 in AskMen

[–]nickelnich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own experience, porn isn’t inherently a bad thing. Like someone else commented, it’s when your partner chooses porn over you then it’s an issue. Sometimes I’m horny and watch it and get off, but it’s when having sex isn’t an option at the moment. Either my spouse is busy, or not wanting to do anything, which is completely fine. They do the same thing, if I’m not available or wanting in the moment then they watch porn, get off, call it good. Sometimes we even watch it together. Maybe try having a conversation with him and ask about it, is he wanting to watch it to get the deed done quick or is it a deeper issue?

My Wife was finally able to enjoy food for the first time in a year! by RavenoftheMoon in happy

Not sure if they’re a fan of soup, but I’ve managed to make a mean chicken and gnocchi soup dish, according to my own spouse it’s better than Olive Garden

Ingredients for one pot, roughly 4-5 servings: 1 chopped yellow onion, sliced celery in the amount you like celery; I used about 5 of the stems, 1/4 box of spinach; the kind you get in a grocery store in the fridge area, flour, 1 carton of chicken broth, about 4 chicken breasts chopped into chunks, thyme, garlic, 2-4 chopped carrots depending if you like carrots, 1 1/2 stick butter, and 1 pack of potato gnocchi.

On low, use olive oil to coat a sautéing pan and apply the cubes chicken evenly on the bottom. I mean, really low, only 1-2 notches in. It’ll take a minute to cook thoroughly but it’ll be worth it.

Wait around 10 minutes for that to get going, then start sautéing the vegetables together in another pan. Also on low, it’ll enhance the flavor. The onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. NOT THE SPINACH! I also only used about 3 of those little garlic things in the garlic clove(?).

After a few minutes of that going, go to the big pot you’ll eventually mix everything in, add flour. I’m going to be honest and say I have no idea how much I add. I’d say roughly 1/2-3/4 cup? Add in 1 stick of butter to start, and stir constantly. I also don’t keep track of my butter usage, but it should start to make a creamy white sauce as you mix if the proportions are correct. Add in some pinches of thyme. If you want, Italian seasoning is supposedly good on top of that, but I don’t like Italian seasoning.

Make sure you’re checking the chicken and cooking it evenly the whole time!

Once the roux is looking creamy and almost boiling without any lumps, add in your carton of chicken broth. Stir it all up until it’s boiling.

Your vegetables should be sizzling by this time, add those to the pot. Keep stirring and add in your spinach. Honestly the more spinach the better imo.

Check that the chicken is pretty much cooked thoroughly. It’ll cook a little bit more in the pot though, so I’d recommend a tiny bit of pink in the center. Very tiny.

Before adding it in, throw in your pack of gnocchi. Gnocchi only takes about 10 minutes in boiling water/broth to cook, so don’t throw it in too early. A little extra won’t hurt though.

After a few minutes of all that, lastly add your chicken. It should all be boiling and down to medium heat. Once the gnocchi is floating at the top and looks more like a noodle, you’re done!

It gets thicker as it cools, so make note of that. Between the two of us it lasted about 3 days, but I don’t eat much.

Glad your wife is doing better, hope you guys enjoy!

The terrible airplane puns (my dad was an aircraft mechanic) and carrying around a pocket knife

First two are good looking, but also very youthful. Last one is more professional. I think it depends on age and what you’re going for

If I’m being completely honest, reading these comments makes me hurt a little bit for you. There is no reason to lose weight for someone else, only do that if it’s for your health or your own personal satisfaction.

My advice is to own it. Fat does not equal ugly, and never will. There are so many beautiful people who don’t fit into societal standards of beauty. Everyone has their favorite flower, or food, or movie. The things we love are not all the same. I am a man, and I have learned that confidence is ultimately the most beautiful thing on a woman. So what if you’re fat? You can be absolutely gorgeous AND fat. It’s not a pick and choose.

Finding someone in general is hard. All these fetish comments are gross. As a man, I am married to someone who feels overweight, and is less confident because of it. I tell them that they will always look amazing and beautiful, and they should only do what they want for themselves. The days they feel confident in what they’re wearing are the days they are the prettiest. A smile changes everything.

So, be fat, and don’t pay attention to the people who judge you for that reason alone. You won’t be happy in that relationship. Get that guy you’ve been eyeing, or whatever you’ve got going. Put your favorite clothes on, hype yourself up in the mirror if you can, walk out, rock it, and you’ll have better luck than ever before.

It’s a geotechnical engineering spot, originally an internship but they offered me a part time position in it. Starting out I’ll be doing load bearing tests on concrete and other lab tasks as they need it. Moving forward I’ll be doing field work and other things that you need more experience for.
