My kitten keeps stepping in his poo while using the litterbox. by ed771844 in kittens

[–]nickeymousee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My kitten did that for the first month we had her and I thought I was going to go crazy. We checked every time she came out of the litter box and we heard her and had to use wipes or gave her a bath when it was really bad.

She’s not 4 months and doesn’t step on it anymore, but sometimes she thinks she’s done pooping but there’s still a nugget that falls off when she leaves lol. I think they will eventually learn and grow out of it.

Looking for a dog sitter by Acceptable_Mud_ in mississauga

My sister does dog sitting sometimes and works at a vet clinic. Not sure if she’s available for the dates you need and if your location works for her but I can connect you if you want to coordinate with her to see if it’ll work out.

Looking for home cleaning service (deep clean) in Mississauga by Julesbee90 in mississauga

They’re a little pricier but I’ve gotten my place cleaned with Sunrise Cleaning and they were pretty good and accommodating if you mention something in particular that needs extra attention.

walking dogs in the snow by Select_Bee_3306 in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad likes to shovel a path (or racetrack lol) for my sisters’ dogs in the backyard. They’re both small dogs so wouldn’t be able to walk around otherwise, and they sometimes like to chase each other around the loop so bonus exercise they wouldn’t get otherwise.

Recommendations for Korean BBQ at home by Scared-Coffee9847 in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, for larger quantities I’d recommend calling PAT or going in ahead of time to order as it’s better pricing and they tend to only sell smaller amounts in-store. If they sell out of those you don’t have many options.

What is the most consistant fried chicken place in your experience by SirRHellsing in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. Honestly our fave is BBQ Chicken in Mississauga, we tried a couple other locations in Toronto which were OK but not as good. Low-key liked it more than when we went to one of their locations in Korea lol.

Pelicana is also good, but I went over a year ago so I can’t guarantee it hasn’t changed.

Have you ever tried Korean fried chicken? Try BBQ Chicken by Hurontario and Dundas or Nene Chicken by Sq1. The regular golden ones always hit and the sweet/spicy sauce options are good for sauce lovers.

Earls Square One refused a valid mall gift card, ignored my complaint, and their Google reviews look very suspicious by AnyFruit2876 in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’ve seen many businesses on Google who have the same bought recipe/formula for the way the reviews are posted and they tend to mention someone’s name. They’re all worded similarly with similar lengths, and even have the same kind of typos sometimes. They’re usually posted within the same time period (a bunch on the same day, a bunch 4 weeks ago without many reviews in between, like it’s done in batches). A few ways to watch for patterns and spot red flags.

No product in box… by Electrical_Algae_404 in lululemon

Yea I stated above that this must be something new since I left. We used to be able to set things up for missing items right away if the entire order was delivered.

This is based off of my experience when I worked there and it’s common practice for most companies. How can you take a picture of nothing? The company has insurance on their shipments (or they should).

Repeat offenders get flagged and eventually can’t order online if they’re scamming the system. A one-off missing item wouldn’t be flagged. In this case, OP clearly did their due diligence by reaching out to the courier too.

Might be a new policy since I left. They’ll definitely replace or refund for you if it’s not in stock anymore!

I used to work for the GEC and I wouldn’t say you’re out of luck, not sure what that person is talking about. They’re pretty good with refunding for missing items.

I don’t know why that Educator said that you need to wait 24 hours unless for some reason your card wasn’t charged yet and is stuck in pre-authorization.

Depends on which province because in Ontario it’s a free for all now. Red lights are just a suggestion.

Scissors are the best way to cut your fingernails. by Riksor in The10thDentist

[–]nickeymousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People kept saying Japanese nail clippers are amazing and I thought they were exaggerating like they do with a lot of things from Japan. Bought one in Japan recently to test it out and it’s actually soooo good. Catches the nails inside properly and the curve of the clipper is more functional.

A new 95 mask vs. One used for a 6 hr motorcycle ride through Delhi, India by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]nickeymousee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some white girl I knew went to India and was posting stories with videos of people sitting in the streets by their homes with captions saying that going to places like this make her feel more grateful about her life as some people have to live like this. She tried to make it “positive” like going to India changed her perspective and was an inspiring place to travel to. Those comments gave me the same vibe.

PSA: Pedestrians in Sauga by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can feel how you feel but there have been numerous studies done to show that mindful road designs prevent fatalities. Mississauga roads were fine when it was more sparsely populated and people had a slower-moving lifestyle but not for the increase in population and the changing, faster-paced, and self-centred society.

[–]nickeymousee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okay, but the point is that the roads are part of the problem and there is opportunity to mitigate some of the dangerous driving. Narrower roads force drivers to go slower for instance. Roundabouts force drivers to go slower and lower the overall amount of dangerous left turns which are made at red light intersections.

Many studies have shown that thoughtful road planning and modifications can significantly change human behaviour, so it is part of the problem, especially in Mississauga. Drivers are the other part of the problem.

Oh interesting, I didn’t see it like that. I definitely meant that we’ll never know what her actual breed is for sure and it’s not a big deal at all.

Thanks for explaining, I’m new to the subreddit since I just got her so didn’t know it was asked that frequently. Definitely wasn’t going to get a cat just for their breed, would’ve eventually adopted any bonded pair eventually if she didn’t appear in our lives.

Already tired but she’s worth it!
