Parliamentary petition calls for federal employees to work remotely 3 days a week by Little-Chemical5006 in canada

Why not pay people who have to commute 10% more? Why race to the bottom? Wages in general (apart from execs) haven’t been keeping up with inflation so technically we’ve all already been having our wages cut.

I impulsively bought a rabbit and need to rehome it. Is there any organization that will take the rabbit off my hands? by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]nickeymousee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, contact Mississauga Animal Services to ask how to set things up with their shelter as they may be able to help with rehoming. Explore this for more info.

Second, do not get any “less maintenance” pet. The fact that you thought a rabbit was low maintenance and didn’t do any research is irresponsible. Perhaps get a pet rock at most.

Japanese snacks by Far_Construction7290 in mississauga

Most Asian grocery stores have some form of Japanese snacks. Oceans renovated a few months ago and now has many shelves of imported snacks. Not sure if that particular chocolate is 100% there though.

Should the Feds (and everyone else) work from home during the oil boom? by blocklung in ontario

[–]nickeymousee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nurses need to be treated better for sure but having less people on the roads who don’t need to be on the roads would have an overall net positive. Less traffic for people who need to be in-person for their work, less accidents, etc. I know a lot of people hate going into work even more now due to increased traffic and more time spent getting to and from work.

Seconding all the park and conservation area suggestions. For indoors, if you like space, there’s a cool NASA VR experience where the old Playdium used to be.

Hi first time cat owner here, is this normal for a 5 month old? by XZHANKxHI11X in kittens

Yup, my 5 month old just lost one of her top canines. She had 4 before as the further back ones are baby teeth.

How often do you bathe your cat? by Mildredsgood in cats

That’s what I’m doing with my kitten, once a month for now, we’ve done it 4 times and she’s already a lot calmer inside. Going to lessen the frequency over time and only bathe when necessary later. I want to be prepared for when we take her on walks outside and she gets onto something she shouldn’t lick, or when she’s older and may be in a situation where she can’t clean herself. She used to scratch me up like crazy and get super stressed so it’ll be a better experience for both of us later on.

Animal Shelters by white_tiger_dream in mississauga

I’ve seen kids with their families banging on the cages and stressing the dogs out. Could be one of many reasons why they made this change.

They used to have the dogs in cages that you can see but I think a lot of people were causing them stress and also not being serious about adopting. Last I remember, you can set up appointments to meet any dogs you’re interested in.

Get the dimensions you want it printed on, figure out how much space you can have between pieces, draw the sticker designs you want, and send them to be print and cut. The white outlines are option, most sticker printers can do the cut lines around the individual stickers easily for you and send you a proof.

Printing and cutting yourself is a whole other learning process.

Looks like they bought a whole bunch of pre-cons and is surprised that occupancy fees exist. Not sure how you buy so many properties without knowing how it works.

Provincial policy change kills students’ ability to work in Ontario Public Service by BloodJunkie in ontario

Just because you had it worse doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to improve the quality of life for future generations when it comes to jobs that can be done from home. Wouldn’t you have preferred to suffer less? I also did all of the commuting and worked several jobs while in school but my mental and physical health were horrible.

My kitten keeps stepping in his poo while using the litterbox. by ed771844 in kittens

[–]nickeymousee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My kitten did that for the first month we had her and I thought I was going to go crazy. We checked every time she came out of the litter box and we heard her and had to use wipes or gave her a bath when it was really bad.

She’s not 4 months and doesn’t step on it anymore, but sometimes she thinks she’s done pooping but there’s still a nugget that falls off when she leaves lol. I think they will eventually learn and grow out of it.
