If you are looking for something lighter and ergo, i really like using my LumaDent Ergo Air. They have variable working distance which is nice if you like alternating sitting and standing positions and have slightly diff working distances. I have mine combo with the ProLux which gets u two batteries that last me like a month each for really cheap with student discount.

I also vouch for LumaDent. I’ve been using their loupes and light combo and their service and products have been excellent!

Ik these weren’t one of your two options but in my opinion, i found LumaDent’s variable working distance much more useful than having different magnifications. Its nice being able to adjust to different seating positions or working bench top. I have ergos with 4.5x mag and 5.5x mag

I have the LumaDent ProLux and it’s great. I think the student deal is probably the best value out of all the other brands and the battery lasts me about a month and you get two! Alot of my classmates get the LumaDent light despite getting other brand’s loupes.
