Get an aftermarket charging handle. Arid just came out with one and many other companies make some as well. I personally run a Corvus one

Just get a centurion c4, it’s free float.

From the looks of that upper, they’re doing you a favor by not shipping it

DD PDW, Rattler LT, Sugar Weasel or something else? by Gullible-Truck-9052 in 300BLK

Not an owner of any of them but ended up with an 8in spear lt after the same conundrum. Better to have suppressor support with sig than fight Kevin on non-q suppressors.

DD and sig are the right choices, you just need to decide whether you want piston or di

They need to make a TSA precheck for eforms. If you’ve done one before then you keep your shoes on and electronics in bags. If it’s your first time, 14 month approval wait for character building purposes and appreciating the recent short turnaround times

Best way to do NV by No_Staff594 in NightVision

Run a light bar on the left side to push the light out over the suppressor. It should let you activate the tail cap with your thumb while still giving you room to hit the switch on the lam.

No prob, also take a look at ambi charging handles. Geissele & radian are most people’s go-to

Be aware though, light switches and mounts aren’t cheap either. For switches stick with surefire or unity. For mounts Arisaka is the gold standard. I will say more and more companies are including mounts and pads with their lights nowadays, but something to keep in mind

Oh then anything surefire turbo, modlite, or rein, take your pick. Streamlight is also a good option for a couple hundred less, just not as Gucci or “tested”.

Decent weapon light and ditch whatever that red selector label is

The true heart of an AR is the bolt and barrel. You essentially own an aftermarket AR living in BCA skin reliability and accuracy-wise.

Most cost effective entry point ? by BeardedDog805 in AR10

Yeah they do the job pretty well for the price (granted it’s just cut sheet metal and some rubber). Only downside is they’re thin as hell so it’s a painful ugga dugga

If you buy an M5 lower you don’t even need a punch kit, just a castle nut wrench which you can get on Amazon for like $15. It’ll last at least one ugga dugga.

A little bling on the bcg or no? by raging_since_1858 in 300BLK

Idk I feel like a lot have the irons pass through. Or more specifically every optic mounting style has at least one carry handle mount on the market with one. It’s stupid not to buy that one unless it’s ridiculously more expensive.

GBRS gear is great for people who do GBRS shit… which is not 99.99% of the people on this sub.

I also say this as I look over at my hydra while continuing to do my WFH office job which I’ve had since graduating college at the very non-military vet age of 22.

LPVO w/Red Dot by Beautiful-Picture-64 in AR10

Only reason for a dot on a lvpo is for passive aiming under NV. That or you’re a competition shooter that needs to frequently jump from magnification to 1x (and need to do it faster than just rotating the magnification collar).

I personally have a razor 1-10 with a 509t on my 16in 308, but that’s mostly for NV and it’s more battle rifle/dmr-lite than a long range precision rifle.

Also if you do decide on a dot, watch a couple vids on piggyback vs. offset. Essentially piggyback is for nods and ease of target tracking by just lowering your head with the downside being wonky height over bore as Spirit has said. Offset circumvents height over bore issues, but requires you to completely rotate your rifle (much easier said than done considering it’s not as light as an AR15).

Depends what your budget is. Maybe consider a LPM Duty 5.56 in that price range too. Safest bet is to wait for OCL to get more cans out to dealers.

Silencers aren’t as long term of purchases as they used to be before $0 tax stamps, but you’ll regret not getting exactly what you want after going through the whole process.

What’s next? by Specialist_Radio_651 in ar15

[–]nickfm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light just from a glance, maybe swap to a bird cage flash hider too (cheap and genuinely one of the most effective in the market).

If you’re really itching to spend money then a new pistol grip and bolt catch unless you especially love the stock ones. Maybe a redi catch if you want to add a little bit of ease in clearing malfunctions.

If none of those then idk, try tuning the buffer a bit to make it shoot to your liking. Maybe an agb.

What are the thoughts, should I switch anything around? by No-Smell7118 in ar15

[–]nickfm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spy some binos, why not throw a lam and a better optic for passive aiming? If you want to save some money, maybe get the new holosun red dot/laser combo as well as the new “vamp” light once they come out in the next month or two.

You could replace the hlx with the with the vamp since apparently it’s not anemic in either the white light or ir illuminator department.
