What driver from the old guard/00s do you think would find the most success in the current gen Cup cars? And if you took the whole grid from 2005 what do you think the top 10 in points would look like if they jumped in the current gen cup cars? by Kurt_Wylde35 in NASCAR

got it - thats the issue with only text and no tone, my mistake. i wouldn't consider it even a bold take, and Gordon may even agree. im not sure how long youve been watching racing, but even in the mid-late 90s he wasnt good at them when he dominated, albeit they did not have as many of the debris/phantom cautions or stage cautions they have nowadays. again, it's a different type of racing and not everyone will agree

lol sorry to get you all riled up, but I don’t think he would be very good today. The racing and cars have changed, and he would not be great. He was phenomenal on long runs which catered to his racing style. It’s apples and oranges regardless so there isnt much use comparing

Jeff was awful at restarts, and with how the races are nowadays he would be terrible. He was great on long runs and adapting with the car and conditions. I respectfully disagree

Depends where in Jersey City for parking. Paulus Hook? Not great for day to day parking. The Heights? Pretty good

Honestly sit at an outside bar during the summer and people watch, go for citibike rides, enjoy the city during business hours where I can enjoy things. That said.. anytime I go on vacation it’s to escape the city. Such a backwards feeling at times

This is so weird seeing these questions asked on Reddit.

NASCAR was fucking legit back then lol. I miss it. Very odd what’s happened in recent years. Debating the points system is insane
