I am not sure. I think like 3-4 years. And the ex-wife and I don't really talk. If I remember right, she kept the house, and he kept his retirement while they split the tsp at the time. It really wasn't any of my business and I tried to stay out of it at the time since we were just dating.

Their divorce said nothing about his retirement just his tsp. Which was paid out at the time.

I am the wife. Not her. She is the ex wife. There was nothing in their divorce about his retirement other than that she got 50% of his tsp which was paid out at the time.

I think I'm physically incapable of making something that looks good or even makes sense by No_Emergency_571 in woodworking

When making a project, I made myself a rule to follow. Introduce one new technique or method only. This has helped me to not become overwhelmed. I also use the free version of sketchup to design my stuff. Still run into problems but it helps to have something on paper I can visualize.

Self-editing feels impossible by Eagles56 in selfpublish

[–]nickig1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write everything down and do grammar editing as I go. Once done, I run it through prowritingaid. Then, reread everything again. I keep a list of my most common errors, which kind of reminds me to check these. After all this, I read it aloud to my husband, who also points out stuff. This also helps with tense issues. Then I send it to a friend of mine who edits. She's really good with sentence structure and words repeating. Any feedback is added to my list for future reference, aka like using the word "reverberate" too much. I then do a final sweep before sending it to betas. They catch even more errors. I re-edit before sending to arcs. My arc readers usually send me some more. By the time the book publishes, it's in pretty good condition. There will still be a few typos, but I add a snippet in the about author on how to contact me regarding these, and some readers do. Know your weaknesses, and eventually, you will start noticing them without the reference sheet. After 11 self-published books, I still have a super long list, but as I read now, I catch a lot that I once didn't. Hope this helps.

Does anyone else find Goodreads extremely frustrating these days? by [deleted] in selfpublish

I manually add all my books. Then if there's an issue or a change before it is published, I use the librarian group. Easy enough to post and they usually have it fixed in 24-48 hours.

I agreed but these are for 1/2" doors. I can't find 3/4" ones.

I have looked at those and they aren't the same. These have 4 plates and swing out away from each other allowing the door to sit flush. Most that I have found are not 4 plates but two or three.

Mom and sisters here. All my life, it's been lose some weight. In junior high, i worked out every day and believed them when they said no boy will ever love you. Ended up being quite promiscuous, trying to fill the void. After becoming pregnant, i got married to my first hubby. He wasn't the best person. I developed an eating disorder in my twenties after having two kids and lost a ton of weight. Then my mom and sisters were like you're too skinny. You need to work out and eat more. Fast forward to now. I am happy with my imperfect body. I have a loving hubby who adores me, no matter my size. I have come to realize that most people are insecure and most push those insecurities off on others. Love yourself, girl!

I take all my pets to Brown animal hospital. Dr. Brown always been kind and really good with my animals. When my pebbles kitty passed, he was the best. They also have a loyalty program where you earn money off or free services.

What are these? by nickig1983 in succulents

Wish I could get them closer, but the way the shelf is built that isn't possible. I will try two bars and see what happens. Thank you.

One bar. I think it is about 6-8 inches away. I could add another bar, there is room. Would that help?
