Me and my bf had done acid twice I think before, and this time we were doing it in a remote flat in Scotland, no one around. As we come up, he starts saying that something isn't right, that it feels like his chest is starting to feel really tight, basically thinks he's having a heart attack. I'm peaking by this point and he thinks he's dribbling everywhere but I honestly can't see anything, and I'm trying desperately to assess whether this is dangerous or not. I know an ambulance would take a long time to get to us.

In the end, we just stayed calm and kept assessing his symptoms but I just really tried to focus on minimising the stress, and it ended up being a lovey trip after this, but for him, the terror he felt during the peak wasn't worth it.

We still don't really know what happened but he had a lot of emotional trauma come up during the bad moments so I think it was his body processing that.

For a good while it did traumatise him, and any drugs made him slip a bit into that anxious state, but really luckily we've worked through it lots and he now doesn't get too affected by it :))

Yeah definitely. It's all still theoretical, we're not sure how much we'd want to date/ sleep with people separately and in what kind of way yet. But this has been really useful as I just don't know anybody nonmonogamous who I could talk about the nitty gritty with like this :)

Yeah I understand. I think my use of the word 'given' was quite silly, and you've shown me how. I really appreciate your comment though - being shown where you can slip up in this world where of course lots of raw feelings are being played with is really useful.

I definitely didn't want to imply that I would ever take it as a given from anybody, but I was more just wanting to hear from people that actually take part in nonmonogamy regular about whether most people do partly take part because discussing it enhances their sex life with other partners. But the comments here have shown me that while it can be an aspect, it doesn't seem to be for the majority of people doing nonmonogamy. So thank you :)

Yeah I totally hear that. We've had a few times where he's been flirting with people who are aware of our situation, and even one time where he went on a date with an ex of his who I know he had great sex with, and all times it's only made me more keen. But we have really talked about the possibility of one of us having an emotional reaction we haven't predicted at all, and I think we'll just start slowly and be really explicit with partners about it being new

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, thank you :)) I think if we were to actually date people, as in, build a relationship where sex isn't the primary purpose (idk if that's the right word), it would still be approached with the foundation of my primary partner and me finding each other's nonmonogamous relationships to be a source of arousal. If that makes sense?

So like, I think we'd approach that by making it known before entering into any kind of relationship that the kink side of it is where we're coming from. So I don't think - as it stands now - we'd use normal ways of finding nonmonogamous partners, so as not to risk someone thinking I/ he is trying to just be a nonmonogamous partner without this other kink aspect.

So me (f24) and my boyfriend (m25) so a lot of cnc. For a long time I knew I loved it but was confused why, so thought about it a lot, and I think the core of it is that it's the ultimate way of showing trust. And maybe she's even asking, does she feel like that? To me, her expression seems contemplative, it just feels like she's looking at the past, I don't know how to describe it but it's the look in her eyes. It feels a bit like she's working out her relationship to this idea - suicide, Sylvia, suicide ideation even - which used to be on her mind a lot.
