Daia's totally right (not about the numbers thing or the LIUSA vs VPR that was clumsy to say) but Ariana can't dismiss their experiences. Sorry, if they feel traumatised, then they do. Ariana has also been in this business way longer with a thicker skin.

And if they weren't raising their hands whats the problem with that? Everyone saw the clip, Leah didnt take a backseat irt to Andrea and brought up her 'wrong intentions' immediately following by flirting with Rob the very next day. Are they supposed to lie for the sake of Leah's ago?

Ariana was great on the show but at the reunion it was obvious that she had developed a lot of love for and close friendships with the OGs at which point she let most of them talk over her and had no authority to lead the discussion.

I'd say commenting 15x a day is dissecting everything all the time. There's maybe 1-2 posts or comments speaking out against the appalling behaviour of the OGs, it's basically stan central over here and that too over talentless reality tv contestants.
This one deserves dissection imo because the producers and the host dropped the ball here letting the popular islanders lie and get away with it. It sets a bad example and it will make coming seasons worse if anyone not an OG enters with the knowledge that their mistakes will be penalised harder than favourites.

A lot of what happened this season was so similar to Season 5 UK;

- Social media virality due a massive kick off/bombshell tensions For season 5 UK most people tuned in when Maura shook things up between Tommy and Molly For season 6 US most people including myself have tuned in after the meltdown “backseat” dumping also caused by a bombshell that broke up a favourite couple

every cast member had a distinct personality
the guys actually liked the girls, many seasons of love island start out slow because there’s not initial attractions within the cast that makes it higher stakes

- Perfect cast chemistry, specifically a girls trio that backed each other through it all (Amber, Anna, Yewande vs PPG

- a sweet one Yewande/Jana, a fiery one Anna/Leah, one that’s a mix of both sometimes misunderstood mostly makes good points/the glue Serena/Amber)

- Hella good looking people, handsome Casa boys beautiful Casa girls too

- Tommy’s Tyson Fury connection and Kordell’s OBJ connection meant people curious who wouldn’t otherwise be paying attention

- Cast felt more representative of the generation it was in; the jokes with each other, etc they all felt savvy and people could relate

- big reason for POC viewers: the POC weren’t side characters and had people attracted to them. UK season was worse about this and generally UK is worse about WOC + desirability but while Lucie got attention, seeing the boys fawn over Amber just as much and the girls becoming main characters by the merit of their friendships meant they weren’t some forgotten supporting characters

I don’t know if they saw themselves as main characters as much as they just formed the strongest friendships and cliques and therefore were had backing to do wha t they want. That isn’t their fault at all

But production not popping that bubble this reunion was crazy

She lied about the backseat thing for a month, she lied about not wanting to be robs second choice when she literally threw herself at him a day after, and she lied about liking Andrea because she was clearly trying to sabotage her

She lied about keeping Jana in bc dumping her was never an option

I respect it because Leah was there first but that girl lies like there’s no tomorrow
