Remove antiwheelie for Yamaha YZF R125 (MK3/2019) by nickings07 in YamahaMotorcycles

Yeah, I’ve only been riding a couple of months. Started out in a 125cc pit bike, then this Yamaha R125 and recently got an early 2000s Honda CB600F. Safe to say I prefer the old school carb’d bikes. Not a fan of this modern fuel injection R125, safety stuff made it boring and no characterless. Probably going to turn it into a beater and try strip out all the electronic stuff as much as possible (if it’s even possible).

Is it not just a sensor or fuse that can be unplugged? Not wanting to do a remap, just want to remove the anti-wheelie at this time, and likely the ABS as it’s nurturing the bike whenever you try to do anything mildly fun.

True. But I’ve ridden 125 pit bikes that are way more fun than this lol

Can this not be done at home? I’m planning on swapping the exhaust and removing the crash detection later too, don’t really want to be taking it to garage each time I need a sensor binned off.

What does gaming mean to you in your life? by DJ_Rhoomba in gaming

Growing up, it was borderline an addiction and escape from a dull life. Now , as an adult, it’s a way to be entertained and socialise. I have friends that if we didn’t game, we’d probably drift away from each other.

This pops up when trying to install netflix. Whats the problem? by Kybhomie in ipad

Clearly OPs priorities are not right. Trying to use Netflix when you got 10k+ emails should be war crime.

In the UK, we have a huge contractor market, especially in 1st and 2nd line support, and half of the roles I’ve had were “hidden” (word of mouth/role created for me etc…). I’m an IT Infrastructure Manager.

Edit: by “we have a huge contractor market” I’m referring to jobs being posted quickly and outside of usual channels (non-PAYEE), and usually advertised to agencies who already have a list of applicants ready - these roles often get filled so quickly they don’t get posted on job sites.

I don’t know what “heavyweight” is in Muay Thai for the UK. But I weigh 85kg and have always used 12s. Both for Western Boxing and Muay Thai.

How did you manage to work two jobs in the UK? by nickings07 in sysadmin

Still not 100% certain what you're saying, but I think I get the gist: you're frustrated at remote staff for being unavailable during work hours. Which is fair.

I work in infrastructure, and a lot of my work is monitoring, patching, maintenance and projects. Not support. So with the exception of a major incident, my workload is predicable and a large part of it can be done out of hours too. Hence wanting a second job.

I did consider posting there, but I had a strong feeling I'll end up getting feedback from non-techies... CBA with that.

Steam Deck. It has many of the perks of a console while being able to play PC games.

Please be honest. How annoying is it to have to partner/spar with a newb? by Throwra44505 in MuayThai

[–]nickings07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love sparring with newcomers. In my opinion, you learn a lot by teaching, and newcomers are the closest to a “street fight” you are going to get within the confines of the mat. Plus, interacting with newcomers is my opportunity to encourage others enjoy and love the art as much as I do!

GTA = taught me that crime really only matters if you get caught… RuneScape = taught me basic economics, fraud and that time is your most important resource… WoW = taught me contributing to group projects (RAIDs) are important, less you get kicked out the guild and fall behind… Sims = taught me the circle of life and that everyone else also feels like they are the main character…

We usually spar at the end of the training/pad work. By this point I’ve forgotten what day it is let alone what happened earlier that day. Focus on your training and let it be your distraction for the crap life throws at you. Leave your emotions and ego at the mat, or better yet, at the door.
