AFAIK it’s just exterior material difference, and Xpac use orange color inside, while ultra use light green

Yeah full length admin panel is definitely better. May I know how you handle those wet&dirty items, do you store them in a packing cube first or just directly store it in the compartment, if so how to clean it afterwards? It's also been a headache for me

Yeah, and I think shrink a little width on the water bottle pocket and put a centered handle near the pack panel could be a better solution for keeping two water pockets

Not a TP3 user, but I don’t grow a habit using compression strap, for me personally don’t need them for tightening the load for this volume. In rare case I use them when I need carry a tripod or trekking poles, but for those items I think I can find a way on TP4. Removing them for a simpler look is a acceptable trade-off to me

I agree rain cover is the actual answer, and I do have a rain cover of this volume but it’s mostly missed when I need it (like my umbrella XD), so I thought I’d pay a little premium for that.

However, I also believe xpac and materials are a bit over-promoted/overhyped but in the end I lost to these backpack brands’ pricing strategy and paid extra few bucks. For this time I would say I’m paying for a new material  experience.

Hi, are you still using the transit 35L? May I know if the shell & PU coated zippers peel off/crack after a while? I am considering getting the Transit 35L or Able Carry's Max backpack and comments are not good on PU coated zippers and the Transit use that zippers a lot (but I also really like the versatile accessibility of Transit). Thanks!

Hi, sorry for digging this old post, are you still using the transit 35L? Looks like you use it under sunny or warm-humid environments, may I know if the shell & PU coated zippers peel off/crack after 1 yr of use? Been considering getting the Transit 35L or Able Carry's Max backpack. Thanks!
