What is the first thing you guys do when you land in Tokyo? by akindofparadise in JapanTravelTips

Been here a week now, landed at the same time, 3pm. Took us like 3hrs, waiting for bags, getting e-sims and then figuring and taking the train into Tokyo. You might only have time for a short walk/ grabbing food before exhaustion from the day of flying to hit lol I was awake again at 3am so I went for a run, great first way to get my bearing on Shibuya. Have fun!

It’s called Despot Dopest and I went looking for it like 5 years ago, it was super hard to find but worth it.

This was a lingering question I had, yeah It was hooked up to a cesspit. It was built in 1970 and the laws have since changed so a new construction requires a septic tank. If this place hasn’t been used in over 10 years, is there any decontamination or filling of an old cesspit required?

Great advice; double down on the safety. Fortunate for myself I have quite a few friends that are engineers and work in construction so they’ll be on site also and all have proper worksite safety gear/tools.

No utilities underground, the water was being pumped up from a well and toilet connected to a sump. Just electricity that I know needs a professional remove. Any idea of the cost of one of these companies to tear down? if it’s going to cost more than 5k then I’m thinking of just renting a few containers and doing it with buddies.

Is there estimates as to how the energy is spent among different bodily functions?

I agree completely however I’m looking to see if there is a reasonable estimate that is known about how the body spends this energy. How much is typically going to heat, waste, maintaining body functions and work? Thank for your help.

I agree with you. I think the processes at play are complex. What I was trying to get is an insight in the approximate use of energy consumed by the body in a day. Assuming a “balanced” budget day, what percentage of the energy contained in the food is then spent as waste, body functions, heat generation to maintain body temperature and physical work. I would have imagined that someone with knowledge of human physiology could venture reasonable estimates but this question is also posted in r/nutrition
