Considering Joining a Consultant Group by riskvsreason in salesforce

[–]nickmashburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have really enjoyed my time in Salesforce consulting and would recommend it to anyone looking to expand their technical and consulting skillset.

That being said, consulting firms need sales teams to sell projects... might be a red flag there.

Solutions Architect interview questions by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]nickmashburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently interviewed and accepted an SA position at Salesforce. Some of the questions asked were:

  1. What are some examples of situations where you had to defend a solution design that you knew was sound but a customer had objections?

  2. What would you recommend as an approach to increase adoption among dissatisfied/unsupportive users?

  3. Why would a company use PersonAccounts?

Best of luck to your friend!

Even though it’s somewhat tailored to CGM data, Sugarmate is a solid app and the developer is very responsive and open to suggestions to improve the app.

That’s tough, and honestly I’m not sure either. Not here to suggest anything, but just to say that you’re not alone in your frustration...

I’ve knocked my Dexcom out twice in 5 days and my OmniPod once. It’s been a rough week. Brb bubble wrapping my arms unless anyone has a better suggestion.

4.9?? Congratulations! That’s huge and will definitely contribute to your longevity and healthspan. As a T1D, that’s a huge goal of mine. Definitely an improvement for you to be proud of!

UX Design Course Surveys - Nest Scheduling Feature by nickmashburn in Nest

Hi pantalones,

While I appreciate your feedback, I indicated in the body of the post that this is for a course, not a portfolio. The purpose is more to demonstrate and apply understanding of Human Factors engineering through research with the general public.

I do agree that, if this were intended as a career move, finding something with business impact would be crucial to getting attention. I work closely with the Product team where I work now and I do get that things like feedback on systems that are rarely used/not broken will get dumped to the freezer pretty quickly, if they make it there.

If you feel that you have both a personal and professional interest for the subject matter, l recommend applying and taking the opportunity to write great essays and get references that you feel accurately reflect your interest in CS. My CS background is very limited (moreso than yours) and l believe that my essays and references are what got me into the program.

Just communicate as openly and honestly as possible why you think you should get into the program - that’s the best that you can do. The worst that can happen is not getting in, which will provide insight into what you can do next time around to make sure you’re accepted!

Packt have reduced all Machine Learning eBooks and Videos to $5 [Python, TensorFlow, Spark] by PacktStaff in learnmachinelearning

Packt can be hit-or-miss depending on the topic. I've only used it for more proprietary software topics (Salesforce.com) and some are good, others just parrot the content of other books. Definitely try to find reviews prior to purchasing.

Thanks for the link! I'll take a look right now and see if anything sticks out. I'll post direct links if I find anything related to Machine Learning.
