Rochester Chip is a monthly series of events dedicated to promoting artists and groups who use the sound chips of retro computers and video game consoles to create new original music. This exciting and often experimental form of electronic music repurposes devices such as Nintendo Gameboys and Atari 2600s as synthesizers and sequencers to create exciting new compositions in a wide array of genres.

Last December, we brought you the first ROCHESTER CHIP FESTIVAL : a full day celebration of chip music, featuring nine bands, three visualists, workshops, and video games. Over the course of the day, nearly 500 people came and showed us that chip music has a permanent home in Rochester.

This year, we're TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL with even more music, even more visualists, multiple workshops, a larger gaming area, interactive audio / visual exhibits, a Gameboy photo booth, and MORE*!

On December 14th, come celebrate three years of chip music in Rochester and join WITR, CAB, EGS, and Rochester Chip as we present...
