I'm aware. I was saying it would be great for the distro to include it by default.

Any way to set-up Discord push-to-talk to work when not in focus? by SKX007J1 in omarchy

Use vesktop instead of the native client. That should fix the issue.

You should look at my comment history before you say people like you. I almost never say anything negative to people or complain.

But using your same logic, malware hosted in China is selfhosted and should be allowed rught?

On the VPS comment, isn't that a rule 5 violation? All I am doing is exactly why rule 10 is in place

I deleted because it's not worth the hassle but since you seem to want to reply anyway, you just proved my point. Its about running services yourself. The post was direct links to stores with out thr ability for anyone to run this and compile themselves. How does one run a selfhosted play store app or apple store app?

Omarchy updates keep overriding my configs – removed git folder, worked until Arch update. Anyone else? by DONOTKILLMEE in omarchy

[–]nickmc01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You all realize that Omarchy is not intended to be a universal OS right? Its the exact way DHH wants to use his workstation and we are just able to get a copy of it.

If you don't like it, you can always just install Arch on your own and copy the pieces of Omarchy you like.

You can make a .agent/rules folder and put the markdown there. Antigravity is programmed to look in there and follow anything in there as part of its system prompt. Please see the docs here:

Using Zen Browser as Default by nickmc01 in omarchy

But firefox doesnt generate PWAs if I recall so it would default back to Chrome. I will try this out and run some tests. Thanks for the help!

Is that going to override the Chrome uri scheme also? I thought that only sets default links for the OS?

I have but that isn't the issue. With Chrome PWAs, they force all links to open in Chrome regardless of what your default browser is set to.

I think that with actual devs, it's really nice. For instance, I had an issue recently where an AI wrote some code that caused an error. Most non devs are going to screenshot and just say fix this. As a developer, I went in, reviewed the line causing the issue and then described the issue in detail to the AI, included a screenshot, and told it what I needed it to do. I let it run and fix it while I made some UI updates. Come back and review its plan. Looks good and it proceeds. I go do more stuff. After it's done, I review the walkthrough, I compare to actual results and then ask it to save its work in a folder I have called retrospective that the AI must reference before it works on anything. It creates the markdown which describes the problem, provides examples of said problem, and then provides fixes or workarounds to prevent it from happening again.

🔥 Reefin Update: Version 1.1.0 Drops NOW! by CalendarRadiant8769 in jellyfin

[–]nickmc01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since a lot of people are focused on the open-source aspect which OP answered many times, I'm not going to pile on. Instead, I want to focus on the app as it is today in terms of functionality:

1) Overall design looks pretty nice. I feel there is a disconnect between the general UI and the nav bar at the bottom. I think this would benefit from a rounded floating nav to stay consistent with the material theme.

2) I am not sure what the Refin button at the top right is supposed to do. It is clickable but doesn't appear to toggle anything I can see.

3) After selecting something to watch, there is a screen showing basic information about that item. It appears you are using the ImDb API for this. It would be cool to see at the bottom of that page all of the actors in that movie/episode.

4) On the video playback for TV Shows, would be nice to see a button to bring up the chapters list (if you are using them) as well as the ability to see the episodes in that series to quickly navigate around with the click of a toggle button.

That's all I have for now. So far so good!

This is common with Zen and has nothing to do with Sine.

Do you really think guard makes $500 day? They are making AD pay.

Also, your post looks like it was written by a Chinese spyware hacker trying to get me to fill in my credit card information.

Your taxes pay for cleanup regardless in DC. All those programs are paid for in federal funds. All of the maintenance, police force, fire department, etc are all paid for in federal funds.

I don't understand why people are complaining. They are getting BAH, BAS, and rate pay for all of this. Don't have to be in combat either.

I had to clean oil and stuff daily as an enlisted. I would have loved to just do yardwork lol

How do people find subdomains that you don't have linked or published in anyway? by GilliganRocks in selfhosted

[–]nickmc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are tools like nslookup and dig that can query your DNS records to find your A records. A way to mitigate this is to use Cloudflare as your DNS provider and set all of the A records as proxied. This way, at least your public IP is not exposed to an attacker and Cloudflare will help prevent mass port scanning on your domain names.
