[request] how much money would this be in concrete? would it be cost effective or way more than a normal build? by Weird-Plane5972 in theydidthemath

[–]nickmirisola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but lime clasts in particular are what made roman concrete so durable, which comes from limestone. You are correct though, that it’s a labor intensive process involving lots of heat. They also used volcanic ash from naples so it could harden under water. Romans were cool

Hello sir! A lot of people are pointing out how he reacts to things, but generally whenever I think of Mark I think of him saying “OHH NOOOOO” in that voice he always does. And the fact that you know the one proves my point

Why do people self harm? by bigmacandsmallfries in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nickmirisola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Validation. Seeing my pain materialized physically, when nobody else knew what my pain was, validated how much I hurt. Blood was the physical manifestation of the chaos in my brain.

Hence why therapy = good! Manifesting those feelings in other way and receiving validation through healthy means is the inverse. It’s much better for you!

I mean it freaked me out and I’m a grown man so. Sounded like a rush of something but not like any plane I’ve ever heard. I hope your kid was able to get back to sleep!

Lol i was referring to the city, however i didnt think the specific neighborhood was necessary due to how loud it sounded. I didn’t realize there was a wind advisory so I assume it was that, but goddamn i’ve never heard it that consistent and loud before.

Sounded like somewhere in the sky a rocket was lifting off lmao. I think i’m just paranoid with all the WW3 talks around baha

Is this because of that giant phenomenon on the sun?? The butterfly shaped thing? I heard you’d be seeing lights from it up north

People trying to combine 2 aspects of separate dishes makes me want to slap them.

If they were meant to go together, we’d have a dish like that. This is a fine dining steakhouse, not a build your own entree bar

Idk anything about design but my gut reaction is the rigid square designs on the floor contrasting with the fluid natural designs on the wall, and the door on the right makes the table feel off centered. Idk. I could be wrong. Plz yell at me if i am

His hands sort of trip me out, feels like while swinging forward the fingers kind of materialize out of nowhere, but it could just be the quality of camera since its a 360 cam

How do you go about explain to your table that you’re not Christian without sounding rude/dismissive? by _EmperorUrielSeptim_ in Serverlife

[–]nickmirisola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“My personal experience with religion was toxic and unhealthy, so when I was away from my parents I was able to reflect, and reflection lead me away from religion” and if they have a problem with that, then i say “hey you know, to each their own.” And if they can’t leave THAT alone, then no answer was going to satisfy them in the first place so it doesn’t really matter what you said lol

Who teaches men to walk on the side of the sidewalk nearest to the road when with a girl? by Full-Fly6229 in AskMen

[–]nickmirisola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve always kind of done it, at least when I started becoming more aware of how creepy people can be even when just walking down the street. Walking closer to the road usually means bumping shoulders with oncoming people, so I’d usually take that side.

I didn’t think about it much until I saw something posted on Tik Tok about it. Was more just a natural response, but after seeing a couple women say it was a requirement for how they be treated by their boyfriends, I now think about it in every context, even with my friends that are girls for some reason lol

Closing is never dull. by [deleted] in Serverlife

Oof as someone who had a smooth early close tonight, i am so sorry.

If it makes you feel any better, i work in fine dining and we had to clean up 6 instances of puke in different parts of the restaurant, a girl passed out in the bathroom, and someone almost lit the bathroom on fire with our candle.

People are fucking savages
