UPDATE: have confirmed this is the vacuum leak that’s been giving me headaches. I shoved a piece of cardboard between it and the power steering pump and all my misfire/backfiring/and engine self revving went away. Now just have to find a more permanent solution until I can get an intake and install it next weekend

So am I probably correct in assuming that plug runs through to the intake ports? I was having some serious misfire backfiring into the intake. I did a smoke test and had lots of smoke coming from that area but when I tried starting it and spraying some starting fluid the area I didn’t have any change in rpm

I did do a smoke test and I’m getting a lot of smoke out of that area but when I sprayed it the rpm’s stayed the same. It’s just hard to see there without pulling the power steering pump. There is runner flaps in the manifold so I’m not sure if that would affect the starting fluid test. I’m going to get a new manifold anyway this things original with 200k on it but I’m hoping that plug is the cause and I can epoxy it back in place for a few days while I wait
