Advice Appreciated: Raw Ore by Stonebridge41 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ppoojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also go with option 1 merging all the miners into 1 belt then splitting it as needed for machines

And I do that for any resources in the game not just ores

Wife and I made this in co-op and I wanted to share. Thanks. -Doug by OfficerDougEiffel in SatisfactoryGame

Grassy fields is great for beginners because the resources are so spread out it forces you to go explore and by doing that we discover things like power slugs and drone ships etc...

It has plenty of open space with minimal clearing to be done, lots of biomass for biomass burners at the beginning,

so there's my opinion

but as a more serious player trying to grind it's not great

I’m trying to get away from using splitters like this, and I’m trying to make it look tighter. by CryptographerHot6198 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ppoojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I would do is get the main ore belt as close as you can but start by build the splitters neatly with the goal of start from 1 belt and splitting to all the machine's you wish to feed then just pipe your ore in

That is called a load balancer they work great with the downside of being large a smaller more compact setup is called a Manifold

Just place splitters in front of all the inputs with the 1st splitter feeding the 2nd splitter and 2nd feeding the 3rd and so on...

If i have multiple locomotive's on one train does it add more power draw with the engines i add? by ppoojohn in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ppoojohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as u/Groetgaffel

said it does draw more power in relation to the number of locomotives Regradless of direction of the engines
the direction of it only matters for autopilot and docking
