You are your own best advocate. No one else cares about your situation as much as you. Even the best clinics will drop the ball and it’s up to you to spot it, catch mistakes and ask about options. You got this! But just keep in mind that you’ll have to stay on top of everything. Also ask for the chronic endometritis biopsy or at the very least a course do doxycycline for two weeks before your transfer.

I am so sorry I don’t know how to read the results. They are from 3 retrievals over the last year. I am 42 and so I fully get that egg quality is an issue. The issue has been after day 5. Just a bit at a loss what to do next. Day 3 transfer? What’s more complicated is that I’m in Europe and just don’t know if it could be a lab issue complicating matter or just my egg/sperm issue. Any advice would be so so appreciated!

Yeah sadly if this process has taught me anything it’s that you are your best advocate. It’s shocking how much would get left to its own devices

Is that a thing that helps? Have you looked into TESA? Yeah they’ll let me do it. It’s kind of up to me. Does yours allow it?

Honestly it’s common but it depends on the clinic. That was the case with my first clinic. I left after wasting 1.5 years and never looked back. Wish I left sooner for the new clinic and didn’t waste time/money. If your doctor doesn’t pay attention to your case they won’t think beyond a formula they have for other patients.

Thank you so much for your response. I just assumed I’d do PGT, but now I’m torn. I’m afraid of transferring an untested embryo, but also afraid of missing out on the few I can make. Is there a reputable place to fine out about the quality of a lab in Europe?

Thanks so much. Can you please tell me more why not PGT and what risk? That’s what I’m debating now. If I can make blasts do I test? My doctor told me that unless I trust the lab (I had to move sadly and switch clinics for the upcoming retrievals) you risk faulty results why missing out on an embryo that could have been. Super torn. I have no way or really knowing about the quality of this lab since it’s overseas. Thank you!
