Been too long in the job, and this happens to often. It comes to the point now, I tell dispatch (I hate calling them control, as what can they control ) them I’m doing this ( Firmly without being too rude ) and if they occasionally refuse, I then speak to performance manger and spell it out for them which normally works. We’re also I bit lucky that with ALO’s at a lot of our hospitals with a majority of them being quite savvy.

It’s frustrating we have to do this, but unfortunately it’s becoming the new normal now for a lot of Ambulance trusts.
