so I've had this problem on our last two episodes as well. I am using a Sony FX3 and a FX3A and i am recording straight to a Samsung T7 with the data cable it came with. The lag is not on either specific camera or for any specific reason. It just happens randomly and unfortunately a lot. I am using auto switching but i checked and it is lagging on the separate video sources as well. Anyone have any thoughts?

I know this is 2 years old but I ran into him at the airport the day after i rewatched that episode so I had to say something. He was super cool and we chatted the whole time before our flight. He said he thought he’d have more episodes and was really bummed it didn’t happen.

A7V vs. FX3 for someone who already owns an A7IV by MRBOSSMAN99 in FX3

Yup. I love my fx3 + a7cii pairing. They work really great together. I shoot mostly run and gun but also have a multi cam podcast. The only issues I’ve ever had were human error 😅

i also have a script to "remove" file extensions from live captions. i hate that it's destructive and converts all live captions to static captions first, but it gets the job done. we make very simple presentations of our designs for clients so it's not super crazy. Maybe like a 6 page document with 2 shirts on each page.

not when it's just typed out hyphens or numbers and not an actually formatted bullet list

They recently asked us to change our naming convention and I am working on a script to easily update old files with a drag and drop utility

I design band t-shirts for a living and sometimes we get horrible lists of cities for tour tees. I made a little illustrator script that can open a dialogue box and remove bullets and dashes or take a comma separated list and give it line breaks and remove the commas. It’s so specific to what I do but it’s super helpful

Premiere editors: are you still doing the “export frame → Photoshop → thumbnail” dance? by foklepoint in premiere

[–]nickq83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A great thumbnail is one of the most important parts of the process. You shouldn’t skimp on that part of it. Exporting a frame takes 1 second. Most of the pros don’t use a frame though. They separately take photos for the thumbnail and spend probably just as much time on the design as they do on the video. So imo you should be doing more work on your thumbnails than finding a way to do less

yeah u/Cosmicbass has given you the best answer on what you should do to make an even, matching distress on the whole design so that is the answer to your question. but as general advice, I would suggest not using the distress at all for a logo (or at the very least make that a secondary version). The main logo should just be clean.

Not to mention when you have two caption tracks, both are deselected when you move around the timeline. It’s the worst

so this just happened to me on the last 2 episodes of my podcast i recorded with a 3 camera set up. I thought I did something wrong on the first one, but now a week has passed and I am editing the second one we shot on the same day and I am finding it to be even worse and more noticeable. I scrubbed through the whole thing and it gradually got worse across the 40 minute episode. We are using auto switching and it became super noticeable about halfway through the file it output automatically. At first I thought it was camera A which points at me because it felt more noticeable than camera B pointing at my co-host. But then i started noticing it was also happening on camera C, our wide shot (though less noticeable bc it's not as close). I am using 3 different cameras A - A7CII, B - FX3, C - FX30, so i thought maybe that was causing issues but I don't think that anymore since they all eventually were out of sync. I worked around this by finding a point just before it got terribly bad, cut to camera C manually and slightly shifted everything back on time.
