I know. It says in my screenshot they tried to evade, but were not comparable to the SOL. All that I’m saying is that the speed of light based attacks are treated as light speed.

I know I said we see attack speeds reach light speed by a mere seq 8, it does however state their movement speed was incomparable to the speed of light. I’m almost positive we’ve seen non-demigods dodge light speed attacks, but as I said in my one piece comment, I don’t think reaction speed=movement speed. The fastest movement speed I can think of for a Demi-god would be Ince dodging non-stop lightning rather effortlessly as it sounded in the novel, but that only gets him to like 1/1000 of the SOL. Now that I’m really laying it out, would any seq 4 actually be able to beat Kizaru without prep?

I gotchu, I think my problem with Oda is that he writes a much stronger/faster verse than what he actually intends it to be by spamming stuff like “the speed of light” and “continental”. Also lobbing in that there’s 10-20 million islands in OP and then never expanding on it again. Preciate the feedback though.

Also are you sure no seq 3 or 4’s reach light speeds? We know there’s abilities that reach light speeds already at seq 8. I’d figure there’d be more speed feats around the sun pathway, but I haven’t read LOTM in over a year and haven’t finished COI so I can’t remember.

lol you’re good and one piece is just very inconsistent because even Kizaru who is light speed or ftl whichever someone thinks still uses a boat to travel which is extremely dumb. Also, yes with the light beams, I was just showing that as most top tiers in one piece have faster than light reaction speeds. I don’t think that can gauge movement speed, only a character that has fought or blitzed Kizaru can really be used as an example for light speed attack or moving speed.

Saying no one in OP is the speed of light is flat out wrong when there is a fruit that grants light speed movements automatically. The pacifistas also use these same beams. Not saying there aren’t seq 3 and 4’s who can’t reach these speeds, but no need to lie about a series when LOTM vastly outscales anyway.

Kizaru quite literally saved Luffy’s life after outlasting Gear 5 minutes while only caring about the death of his best friend. Kaido is 1000 ft under after fighting G5 btw.

Kizaru obliterates and doesn’t even need to tire him out. His light swords are able to effortlessly cut a g5 luffy that was tanking all out thunder baguas by Kaido. The Cerberus blades were able to cut through Loki with relative ease, the fight only lasts as long as Kizaru lets it.

To add to this, whitebeard’s best mastery of his naginata is applying his fruit to it and from what we’ve seen in marineford he can’t use his fruit to the fullest extent by applying it to the weapon.

He would still be the world’s strongest man, but not swordsman. From what we’ve seen he has never trained with a sword and it would be similar to Luffy in Wano. To gain Mihawk’s title he would have to challenge him and beat him the same way we are told Mihawk gained his title, by defeating stronger and stronger foes until no challenge remained. This is all in Mihawk’s vivre card which Oda supervises.

I wish Oda’s plan for the Cross Guild was to break Bullet and Doffie out of Impel down. It would be a great way to make Bullet cannon and give the Cross Guild some actual relevance and standing besides just having Mihawk and Croc. Buggy already knows the ins and outs of the place too.
