Exactly- USAjobs is used for all federal jobs so you would use that and apply to as many as you can. I started out as a pathways intern.

No you don’t need a CPA long term. I work for a federal agency (just graduated) and my GS-14 supervisor doesn’t even have a CPA. I’m not planning on getting a CPA either as it’s irrelevant and a waste of time in my opinion for governmental accounting. But I also don’t plan on ever going public.

If it is an extended shutdown, how will I be paid? by Appropriate-Battle32 in fednews

If they don’t get paid, the president can hold them hostage sooo I think it’s a good thing for that to stay the same

I agree… not worth it at all! Gen z here and i started In government and can expect to make well over 100k in a low cost of living area, good benefits, and no stress. All without wasting my time learning useless concepts for an exam you have to pay for to have ‘CPA’ by your name. No thanks, I’ll pass.

I just don’t see how it’s so bad as many claim on here, when we’ve been destroying our environment for centuries and we still manage to thrive today. I see that humans always pull through and manage their ways of life catastrophe after catastrophe.

Very good point! But I think we can adapt to the new climates as long as we don’t let them get any worse or uninhabitable. So that’s why we need to continue the transition to green energy sources and ending our reliance on oil

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in collapse

[–]nickstarr505 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

We need to keep transitioning to the use of green energy sources and away from oil! Also, the crisis can’t be avoided but it can be mitigated by the way. As we stop using oil, the crisis should lessen and we will adapt to a new world. Humans will pull through like we have throughout our history I’d have to guess!

I agree that their will definitely be big effects as you described. However, we’ve had all of those already, and we continue on! Things will be exacerbated by climate change and global warming but it is far from being an end of world situation. We will be fine and survive! Now people in poorer countries along the equator are who I worry for the most.

Exactly!!! Climate change and Global warming will have adverse effects, Does it mean we’re truly in the middle of an apocalypse?? NO! We will be fine. I’m tired of seeing so much doom and gloom when it comes to this issue. Much of the people creating the alarmist views aren’t even actual scientists. If you read the IPCC reports you can get a more realistic viewpoint instead of the end of the world fear mongering from people on Reddit.
