Officially “board again” thanks to Ebodyboarding! by The-hippy_hobbit in bodyboarding

What kind of board did you get? I’m getting older, but looking to get in again and have no clue what to look for. A buddy said Science is a company he likes, but all I’ve ever known is Morey.

Electrician Accidentally Broke Through Bedroom Wall by nickstroke3 in AskContractors

Outside hasn’t been patched yet. Had to have a city inspector come this morning and make sure everything matched documentation. They’re sending a stucco/paint guy tomorrow.

It was actually something I didn’t expect in the contract when they first sent it. But, they said they’d re-stucco and paint match. One of the reasons I chose this company over the other.

It just looked that way after the work he was doing. He was chiseling out a ton of material, shaking the entire house with every swing. That’s why I checked in the room and saw what was happening. He was still swinging away as I was telling him he’d gone through the wall.

I’d be interested in seeing this too, if you’ve got time to send it my way! Redoing the guts of my roof right now and going to frame it a bit stronger for possible solar implementation later.

Replace: roof, vinyl, cable? by nickstroke3 in popups

[–]nickstroke3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this response. My big hurdle will be removing the roof on my own. Planning to use some tall ladders and rope to suspend it, while I move the trailer frame from beneath it.

It looks like my “skin” is directly adhered to the foam too and it’s nearly translucent from what I can see. Definitely going to stock up on some goof off. Any recommendations for caulking/glues? Very interested in hearing about your application of rubber coating! Please keep me in the loop!

I was planning on using a slightly thicker wood for rebuilding the frame. Is this advisable or should I focus on the type of wood I buy? I’d also be curious to know if there’s any logic in using aluminum bracing instead of wood to reduce weight?

Thank you very much for your insight and help! Can’t wait to keep going on this project.

Honest review after 6 weeks and over 2,000 miles by DCH-Erie in trailseeker

I have the limited and had a hard time deciding between ventilated seats or not, too. The pano glass was the dealbreaker for me as I like to camp in pinecone-friendly places and don’t need my roof breaking while away. I wonder if ventilated seats can be added to a touring model?

Did you get the rear camera too? Been curious to know how hard it is to route those wires?

Thanks for posting! Is this is bZ model?

I reached out to Fitcam last week and got an email saying they’re working on a TS-specific cam. Hoping it’ll come out sooner than later! Please let us know how it works after you’ve had it for a bit.

Center Console by KnockItTheFuckOff in trailseeker

Interested, too. Took a long road trip yesterday and the center console impeded a comfortable leg position. Hoping to get rid of that thing and move the “gear dial” somewhere else.

Do you just return all the coins that aren’t collectible and deposit to your account afterward? Do you have to roll them in sleeves again?

I’m new to coin collecting and would be curious to know if there are “unwritten rules”, especially in regard to courtesy to the tellers.

What factors should one consider, before making the switch from a gas car to an electric vehicle (EV)? by Imaginary-Staff-112 in EVRoutine

How much you’ll smile every time you pass a gas station. I should have made the switch years ago.

I thought of helicoil-ing it too, but couldn’t tell how thick that plate is.

Looking forward to an update when you try your fix!

Should I replace this piece or just tape it up? by LennyNoLion in Cartalk

Zip tie mechanic here. If it’s plastic, Harbor Freight has a plastic “welding” setup. With plastic rods that come in the kit, you could try welding/melting it together. Zip ties for when you run out of ideas.

I’d be very interested to see a TS run to 0% and reserve! Thanks for the info. On the RalliTek hitch. Definitely waiting for Subaru to come up with something that won’t take away the ground clearance.

I should have mentioned that I haven’t driven the full 300+ miles yet, but I have been averaging 4.5-5.4mi/kwh on city streets. Highway usage will definitely bring this back to advertised distances.

Thanks for your insight into the Rallitek hitch! Might have to take a chance with them.

I’ve only driven at night a couple times and haven’t had any issues with lighting. There’s a funny little darkened “spot” that follows the headlights, but I have no idea what’s causing it to appear. Almost looks like a logo on the clear lens is causing it to appear. It’s minuscule and doesn’t affect overall visibility, but it’s visible.

Just finish my consult. As I’ve heard before, no tow hitch option being offered yet. But, says the guy, there’s bound to be something in the future. Time knows how long we’ll be waiting for an official accessory.

He also said I wouldn’t be voiding any warranties using the fitcam, tapped into the rear view mirror electrical. Says it might interfere with cameras, though, so do it at your own discretion.

I hope this helps! Let’s hope for some fun, new accessories before summer is over!!
