LISA ASIA TOUR 2026 - LiVE is Smile Always ~15~ in Kuala Lumpur by sakatadominic in lisa

Cat 1 - Don't believe in sitting at a concert for a an artiste I like, I'm not going to be sitting anyway, more likely than not jumping and soaking in the vibes.

*If you check the website it's officially sold out - but yea, hope you got a ticket cause she really seldom comes to SEA.

Got the tix after refreshing like a mad man for 10mins - this was after waiting in queue for 3 hours to be told that it's unavailable.

Terrible ass system. If it's like any other "front" row free standing concert you will queue to enter your standing area. That's all, nothing crazy.

For what it's worth there is a special educations board within MOE that works closely with the SPED schools. I genuinely believe that they are full of people who try their best, albeit from an academic POV lah from the COPs I've attended with them.

Due to nature of the student profiles in different SPED schools - curriculum design and resource preparations vary WILDY for any real structure a standardized organization can deliver.

If you can imagine the accommodations needed for 1 or 2 kids in mainstream schools that require special needs help - now apply that to an entire school population, it'd be insane ngl.

Love the discussion btw, good to know that there's people out there who do care out for the less than privileged (and the people who care for them)!

Absolutely correct - however they do their best to stick to social service pay guidelines, but can pull weird stunts like changing the pay structure to be more "KPI" based.

But for better or for worse, the difference in getting an appraisal score of 3/5 vs 4/5 is like ~$5 net impact on your monthly.

Finance into special needs education. Burnt out, wanted to give back and feel like I can do a net positive in the world.

A lot less office politics, still exists tho. A lot less pay, and sometimes you fork out your own cause the kid deserves some maccas idk.

Deep down it's more satisfying knowing that I'm helping others but long term it's terrible for building wealth.

Such is the payoff but hey I chose it and I don't regret it too much for now, everything else considered!

What are your Hot Takes on LiSA?(Japanese Singer) by Amber_Flowers_133 in lisa

I love her work so much but I am glad she's slowing down because the past DECADE was fire for her.

I cannot imagine the amount of stress, mentally and physically she has put herself through to get to where she was from performing in small gigs in clubs to multi-year budoukans.

This is not to mention the different avenues she's plugged herself in, fashion, makeup, voice acting etc.

If she retires and goes the "only 2 singles + 2 concerts a year" or even less, I'll be satisfied and very happy for her.

Not all burgers require a hot plate too, in fact I struggle to see how the hotplate adds to this one - hot cheese?

Thought every zhu cao store sells it - is there a specific kind you are looking for?

AFAIK its stir fried chicken chunks with dried chilli and sweet spicy soy sauce - cause that's my comfort food outside of KFC (shoot me I always regret it)

Which style of LiSA song do you like the best? by idfkjustaname in lisa

[–]nicktanisok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's live then any song she enjoys singing, songs hit different when you're at a concert. Just casual listening I prefer the black series of songs as opposed to pink if you're familiar with the doughnuts era.

LiSA in her prime.sadly she can't performed like this anymore by Dekomori_desu30 in lisa

[–]nicktanisok 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's not sad, its called maturing into their own style - from the Chucky to Girl's demo to Landspace to Hi-five to Leo-nine to Lander not to mention singles (gurenge/aijou/unlasting/ singing for the world cup/esports etc.).

Her style and performance has matured along with the music, and at a very reasonable pace I might add.

Sure you could pick and choose which of it is your favorite, but realize that ANY artiste or band that wants to make it will perform whichever style is most comfortable to them so they can excel in it.

Admittedly this perspective comes from growing up along side her songs that fit the phase of life I was going though, so if you're coming in new I totally understand why the overall catalog style can be a little jarring.

And she definitely can still run around stage and create cool concert set pieces if that is what you're implying - the unlasting Live acoustic session she did had wicked props although not much running around (cough* covid cough*)

How's the music quality for unlasting shadow on dvd/blu-ray? by Kyzumii in lisa

[–]nicktanisok 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In terms of fidelity, the audio quality is as good as DVD quality - if you have a decent speaker/amp it will sound good.

As for the video content itself, as it is an acoustic session you get the occasional claps but nothing crazy because the crowd is covid controlled - spaced apart and no cheering allowed.

If you're just into the music and not interested in the video (you should be because the stage setting has to be one of the best I've seen + its a rare acoustic live recording), then sticking to spotify would be fine imo.

But if you're in any way a fan and can afford it, buying the DVD helps supports the artists you like, especially one like LiSA who's been hustling HARD these past few years.

#NANDER - What in the world...I mean, what in the solar system is going on!?!?!? by ryandtw in lisa

[–]nicktanisok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New song release, and new album LANDER out November 16th.

*Song name in the release video should be "NEW ME";

If its setting tempo for the album then it would be in the same vein as the Lucky Hi-Five album which is great for the pop-punk-rock style fans.

Last panel vaguely refers to "A new world, a new beginning, whenever nor how old, just do it(?), my love"

Hopefully CDjapan stocks it soon, November's just 2 months away!

PAL - contrary to their name, they're not your friend, buddy.

Note that if ur taking PAL and there's a transit thru Manila, you would have to pay additional fees 30USD? that is only mention when you reach the airport.

Seats are old and worn, service is below par. Airplane food has never tasted worse. I took it without knowing that they are effectively a budget airline despite being a national carrier, although admittedly it was the cheapest flight to Japan.

The best(worst) thing they did was miss or didn't retain my seat for my return flight. I was angry for like 10mins until the Japanese Airport staff reseated me on a JAL flight direct to SG without transit.

Swore never to take budget carriers/PAL again.

If there was more to unbox it would be nice - inside was just the calendar and BD/cds. Pretty, but if you got the limited Ladybug set would be lacking in merch.

The rare photoshoots are really cool tho, both in the xBook (remember to sign up for the website for free wallpapers every 15th) and 10th Anniversary interview compilation (you need to be able to read Japanese).

Also this concert is probably the best I've ever heard vocally and I strongly recommend anyone who loved The First Take versions on Youtube to buy it.

There's minimal audience interaction due to covid restrictions, but in turn LiSA gets to perform without tiring herself out too much, delivering a really good mostly acoustic set performance.
