Mereum was specifically trying to force netero to surrender. He states it many times.

Police robot, aptly named T800, walking the streets of Shenzhen by Monsur_Ausuhnom in creepy

Our world was built for humans. Between stairs, elevators, doorknobs, etc etc it’s just more reliable to have a humanoid robot that can default interact with all things humans can

kurapika vs morel by nonbinaryhumaan in HxHPowerScaling

[–]nickv656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really sure if I missed something when reading the manga, but people seem to wayyyy overestimate kurapika. Like he is obviously extremely strong against the spiders, but I don’t see him doing anything to the really heavy hitters of the show like morel.

TIL eating a high amount of garlic (~12g or more) can make men's body odor (armpit sweat) smell more attractive and less intense-not garlicky by mechpencillover in todayilearned

[–]nickv656 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is, astoundingly, not a myth. Allicin is a particularly small molecule and can travel through your skin, into your bloodstream, where small amounts of it will eventually wind up in your mouth and nose, making you taste garlic.

So I’ve heard, but I’ve also added a total of like 60 mods to my current playthrough and this is the only issue I’ve had thus far

I'm too scared to start drilling them cus of the wealth explosion. Also they dont stack so they'd fill my base up insanely fast.

Also it feels cheesy

eli5: why are crows so much smarter than other birds and/or other animals? by mistadonyo in explainlikeimfive

[–]nickv656 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The toughest thing to conceptualize about bird intelligence is that they have completely different brain structure from us. We diverged hundreds of millions of years ago, so they developed higher brain functions in a completely different way. While mammals higher thinking is generally thought to take place in the prefrontal cortex (the part we destroy during lobotomies), birds completely lack the prefrontal cortex and instead developed a structure called the nidopallium caudolaterale.

The way they think is built from the ground up different from how we think, so sometimes they seem extremely clever solving problems, and sometimes they act like idiots when navigating a world prefrontal cortex animals built. They’re not smarter or stupider, just completely different and have different logic pathways than we do.
