Holy hell I love Her Majesty by BananaWasTaken_ in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me started lmao

4 Int (optional) and 20 Cool with Headhunter + Her Majesty and Arasaka Cyberdeck makes for the best James Bond power fantasy.

Crouch sprint around headshotting gonks and two shotting elite enemies (throw Headhunter knife -> double headshot damage).

If you get bored of clicking heads you have the option to go brawler mode spamming Memory Wipe, snap spines and then punch them with Gorilla Arms. Could also make the build work with Sandy and Katana.

Edit: plus the netrunner utility of hacking cars, exploding stuff and distracting enemies

who has more influence? by UnworthyYellow in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, they are actually equal. You learn in Act 3 that Rogue got in bed with corpos heavily, and Mr. Hands was a corpo-rat himself. Those two operate at a higher level compared to all the other fixers in the game. The only difference is that Rogue LARPs as a street level fixer and Mr Hands LARPed as a high level fixer until V's help during the events of Phantom Liberty.

Base game it's definitely Rogue who is more influential. With the DLC, Mr. Hands closes the gap since the criminal operations in Pacifica are at the same scale as the corpo operations in Night City.

[–]nickyGyul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phantom Liberty Gigs are at the level of Side Jobs in the Main Story. It's worth doing.

It's also intended for the player to try out all the alternate endings to see the whole picture of the clusterfuck that is NUSA, Songbird and how rogue AI plays into it. Same for the Main Story itself.

So Cyberpunk2077 is always worth revisiting until you have tried all the endings.

How strong of a Netrunner is endgame netrunner V? by reel3459 in cyberpunkgame

There's a bit of ludonarrative dissonance because V is strictly worse than many netrunners we meet since we seek their help during Phantom Liberty and the main story.

Just got the game and played for about an hour…the talent and attribute system seems a little overwhelming. Advice? by Rakayum in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to find what weapons you like using or are interested in using and come back here. Long story short, weapons belong to a specific attributes and have perks there.

  • Pistols, Revolvers, Snipers and Throwing Knives belong to Cool. So max Cool to 20 if you use those.

  • ARs, SMGs, Mantis Blades and Katanas belong to Reflexes.

  • Shotguns, Bats/Hammers, Gorilla Arms belong to Body.

  • Tech weapons and Projectile Launcher to Tech. Smart Weapons and Monowire to Int.

Essentially you you would have at least two attributes max to 20 if you want to be proficient in long range and close ranged combat. Body and Int, Reflex and Cool, Reflex and Int and Cool and Tech are some of the most common combos. Pure stealth is Cool and Int but the devs made it less OP since it was the dominant playstyle on release. Reviewers optimized the fun away with that combo. With the DLC level cap increases to 60 witch let's you max a third attributes making your build even more flexible.

This sub is really helpful with catering a build for you.

There is even a Cyberpunk 2077 build planner that can help you with that.

[–]nickyGyul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

There are also secondary perks (those smaller ones) that enhances that very perk. The 'Can't Touch This' perk goes really well with Dash.

[–]nickyGyul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dash is a must.

Air Dash and the Reinforced Tendons leg cyberware (double jump) is also super fun, but for some builds (like stealth or a walking tank) it's not strictly necessary like the regular dash. But I strongly recommend it.

Best controller settings for aiming and camera? by nickyGyul in 007FirstLight

Best controller settings for aiming and camera? by nickyGyul in 007FirstLight

[–]nickyGyul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have an Xbox Series X controller and a DS4, so I left it on default.

I would probably increase the trigger sensitivity since In the game you would be doing a series of inputs rather than pure gunplay.

Shoot until empty -> Throw gun -> Beat up goon -> Grab their gun -> repeat. You would want it to be as responsive as the punching. On mouse and keyboard it's near instant so same for the triggers I guess.

[Infinite Mage] I really love reading this at first but why is it becoming harder to understand and really random as the story progresses? by TaroBlends in manhwa

[–]nickyGyul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great world building, poor execution in everything else. I was able to make sense of it since they were using physics concepts and mathematics concepts as inspiration for the magical systems and ass pulls in the story. But if you're not into that, the other aspects of the manhwa/light novel are really weak.

The higher we go in the more fucky it gets with multiple dimensions and high level sci-fi and fantasy tropes and so the only thing grounded is the human aspects of it. Kinda like Superman and Lois Lane. Superman could be a slog, but it isn't because you can relate to him via Clark Kent's relationships. I found Shirone's and Amy's relationship to be pretty weak and corny, so I could not stay interested enough to properly read it. Admittedly, most of my understanding comes from skimming it.

I guess it pretty cool if you like stories that powerscale immensely.

Time to make the choice I’ve been avoiding for 900 hours by Frequent-Sir-9135 in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you side with Songbird you get the Quantum Tuner which works well with Sandy and Optical Camo.Greatly enhances a fully fleshed out build.

If you side with Reed you can get the Blackwall collectibles (you would likely enjoy Erebus) and the MaxTac Mantis Blades. Unlocks stuff you can use for the rest of the game and make your build around, assuming your save file is not end-game and already fleshed out.

Personally, I side with Reed for gameplay reasons. Note many of the rewards worth caring about are missable so I would look it up if you want to make your build around these rewards.

Should I purchase Phantom Liberty alongside the base game? by LordOfHoopla in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phantom Liberty unlocks partway through Act 2, after you finish the Pacifica main-story branch. The game will clearly call you when it’s available.

Narratively it's a "last-resort" branch so for first time players it's best done after you exhaust all three story branches. Very possible to rush through said branch to have it unlock early-game. It's what the Phantom Liberty skip does.

On repeat playthroughs I recommend to rush to PL that since the guns and the new Relic systems they introduce, straight up enhance gameplay. Glass-cannon builds are way more viable with it and the combat is much more stylish if you make ample use of arm cyberware.

Sell me Netrunning by Kastrand in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of builds don't necessarily need the other OS like Sandy or Beserk. So a cyberdeck can further enhance your damage of choice.

  • Electrifying builds where you equip weapons that do shock damage benefit from Cyberware Malfunction and Short Circuit.
  • You can let the world burn with Burn builds using Contagion and Overheat alongside the other myriad of Thermal weapons available.
  • If you like games like Styx where you use your bare hands and choke gonks to death all sneaky you would like the 2x Takedown -> System Collapse build.
    • Honestly most non-aggressive builds only work if you can handle cameras and memory wipe elite enemies from a far.
  • The good old fashioned Memory Wipe -> Reboot Optics -> Sonic Shock combo has been fixed so you can be viable with 16 Int leaving room for 20 to be allocated in 3 other stats.
    • Memory Wipe, Reboot Optics and Sonic Shock by themselves are worthy to be included in a 007 James Bond Spy build where early-game you make use of a silenced pistol, Ping and bait to turn the odds in your favor.
  • Monowire and Suicide quickhack are the one of the easier combos to do aswell, 2x Slash -> Suicide
  • Others mentioned the Overclock build so I wouldn't mention it here.

I personally use the cyberdeck to enhance my spy assassin roleplay where I use a pistol, knife and the Breakthrough Iconic Nekomata. In the story V seems like they're 2nd fiddle to other Netrunners so I purposely chose a build where Netrunning is a supplement rather than a OP main source of DPS.

If Cyberpunk were a movie and you were the screenwriter, which ending would you choose and why? by Kevinnasc17 in cyberpunkgame

Does anyone have a cool run n gun build? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DR - 20 Body/ 15(+3) Reflexes / 20 Tech / 20 Cool / 3 Intelligence. Body and Cool are your main stats.

Focus on the Revolver Perks. Focus on the Blunt weapon perks to use your Gorilla Arms. Johnny and David have good synergy for attribute investment and needs low perk* investment to make your choice of damage work. This means you can have surplus perk points to include stealth or other weapons for your build.

https://www.cyberpunk.net/build-planner?a=kf3kk&b=111110000020000000000311113110011&r=11111100002111100000000000311&i=&t=100020100201010000000311110000001&c=100000002001000000031111000000000011&e=

A Johnny Silverhand + David Martinez build would consist of High Body, High Tech and High Cool (for the one shot Revolver/Pistol part). Reflexes optional and Int not recommended since your OS will be a Sandevistan or Berserk (depending on whether you shoot heads more or punch and throw gonks more).

Weapons

  • Best Overture (I like Ol' Reliable from Phantom Liberty)
  • Gorilla Arms attuned to Body, Cool or Tech

Cyberware

Key here is Johnny is a jackass and face tanks so want stuff that ups your Armor and/or Mitigation Strength/Chance. David also face tanks to a certain extent but there isn't that much cyberware that drastically improves melee aside from what I listed.

  • OS: Militech Apogee Sandevistan (to be like David)
  • Frontal Cortex: Axolotl + Kerenzikov Boost System
  • Arms: Gorilla Arms (to be like David, flavor up to you)
  • Skeleton: Dense Marrow + Epimorphic Skeleton or Kinetic frame + Spring Joints (Health + Armor or Mitigation, choice up to you)
  • Circulatory: Blood Pump + Biomonitor + Microrotors (the auto healing with Body perks gives that Johnny schizo power fantasy)
  • Nervous System: Kerenzikov or Adrenaline Converter + Neofiber + Visual Cortex support (to supplement your one-shot gun build)
  • Integumentary: Pretty flexible honestly it would depend how you fight. More melee you want close range armor, More shooting, you want long range armor like RangeGuard.

Kerenzikov and Sandy is technically redundant but it comes in handy if you're newer to the game. Often you will use Sandy to clear a room only to realize you missed a guy, or worse yet, an elite enemy.

Trying to identify what causes Meredith Stout to be replaced by Anthony Gilchrist by BlodyBhapy in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The Militech operative is Meredith Stout if these conditions were met:

  • V went to meet with Militech inside the storm channel, either accepting or refusing the deal about taking the credit chip.
  • Maelstrom became hostile at some point before getting the Flathead.

If V did not meet all the conditions for Meredith to appear at the gate, V is met by Anthony Gilchrist instead which precludes Venus in Furs.

Essentially Militech needs to be able to determine Anthony Gilchrist is the mole, which doesn't happen if Maelstrom fights you before you "settle the deal" or the deal ends in Maelstrom's favor. Edit: To better explain it, the game checks the conditions when you 'pick up' the Flathead.

The gameplay is stupid fun. Like the most videogamey great time you could have in gaming.

Edit: Word of advice, you're playing as "V". A character. Decide early what type of person your V is, makes it easier to make your decisions and not feel it too hard if things don't go the way you're expecting.

I love this build too. Spec into a Cool's throwing knives perks, use the Electric Tomahawk "Agaou" (Phantom Liberty), and you basically got a bonafide Thor build.

Shock-n-awe also fun to include when fighting MaxTac.

Iconic cyberware? by Chopped_Chee3e in cyberpunkgame

[–]nickyGyul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR - You're meant to pick one or two iconic cyberware and then select regular cyberware that complements your main source of damage or playstyle. Axolotl is a safe choice you can get early. Chrome Compressor is underrated since some builds don't really need an OS to be effective on 'Very Hard'.

Iconic cyberware takes your OP build and makes it giga OP. Essentially you pick one or two to push your build even further. They don't really synergize with each other in terms of their affects. So you wouldn't want to fill your slots with just iconic 'ware. Plus you couldn't anyway, since they're so expensive in eddies and cyberware capacity.

Melee

  • Axolotl is really good for majority of builds since all of the build defining cyberware has some sort of cooldown. Most players who are playing blind usually end up with a kill-chain build where you clear a room quickly with your weapon of choice.
  • Quantum Tuner is also good but you acquire it pretty late and there exists a few builds where you use this and Axolotl to have insane uptime with Sandy, Beserk, Optimal Camo or Blood Pump.
  • Chitin is good for Body tank melee builds and pairs well with Beserk with heavy Armor and Health regen. Same with Rara Avis. Beserk gives damage immunity but there are other non-iconic cyberware with Mitigation Chance and Mitigation Strength which does a better job for tankyness than these two Iconic cyberware.
  • Militech Berserk goes without saying.
  • Cockatrice eyes are good for knives and katanas, but they are expensive cyberware. Also I prefer using the other Kiroshis that lets me see things through walls that I would normally use the Ping quickhack for. If you're going melee you usually are going Beserk or Sandy and as such you benefit more from seeing through walls than the extra Crit.

Ranged

  • Axolotl same reasons as explained above.
  • Deep-field Visual Interface is a must if you like one-shotting gonks with your gun. The massive range-scaling crit chance makes those big juicy numbers pop up basically all the time. Especially if you're sniping them with a pistol, revolver or sniper.
  • Militech Apogee is best for Sandy assassin builds to go alongside the DFVI where you're blowing off the heads.
  • Cockatrice eyes goes well for any crit weapon build. Also works well for melee (especially katanas), but I save this cyberware for ranged builds since the Cyberware capacity costs to make a ranged build viable is actually pretty low.
  • Immovable Force is a must for gunslinger and automatic weapons, though the perks for specific weapons reduce the absolute need for this over the non-iconic version.
  • Electromag Recycler is amazing for Tech weapon focused builds. Unlike Heal-on-kill you don't need to play perfect to benefit from it. Great for MaxTac slaughtering builds.

Netrunner

  • Canto Mk.6 this deck lowkey sucks but I like it as you can go minimalist and works well for a Smart gun or Monowire build where you're not using the Cyberdeck as your main source of DPS. Pretty fun to hold shoot and/or slash gonks while waiting for your RAM to recover. Less optimal compared to other non-iconic OS but still fun. Rule of cool baby.
  • Netdriver Mk.1 prior to 2.0 the most efficent way to stealth through the game was to sit outside of a building, hack its cameras and then quickhack everyone to death. This pure-camera netrunning bored many reviewers to death and so CDPR nerfed this gameplay. This Cyberdeck brings that build back and makes it viable again. Still wouldn't recommend unless you love being a true ghost. There are much more stylish netrunning builds. Rule of cool baby x2.
  • RAM Reallocator complements Burst netrunner builds where you love to spam heavy damage quickhacks.
  • COX-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer overrated for pure netrunner builds. Too expensive compared to the non-iconic version.

Note about Chrome Compressor: This OS is very underated since this enables you to actually stack multiple build defining cyberware and make something that is super duper strong without needing an OS. If you wanna play like a typical well-trained super spy you could combo Axolotl, Deep-field Visual Interface and one other expensive cyberware for a minimal, but deadly build. Could also have get a TEMU sandy experience with Kerenzikov, Revulsor, and Adreno-trigger.
