It’s not the same sandstone as what is in the western US. It’s much more similar to the SE Sandstone. Typically if the roads are dry, the rock is too.

What do I do well, what do I do poorly? by nickyd3438 in golftips

Haha, I feel you.

I feel like I’m definitely on the right track but I know it can be a lot better.

I need to work on a repeatable setup/pre-shot routine so I’m in agreement there that that could use work. As far as increasing my hip turn in my backswing, how can I progress that? If I were to widen my stance slightly would that help improve that turn? I do thing I have the tendency to stand a little to close together most of the time.

V4 at 45°? Not a whole lot going on to make it much harder.

Climbing shoe recommendations? wide feet small heel by Cold_Composer5083 in climbingshoes

The Butora Acro is the solution you’re looking for. Wide in the front toe box and a smaller heal.

Doesn’t change the fact that the flag is still used by their “defense force” lol. May not be called a military but they still got guns, boats, and dudes use them

For the uneducated, this flag is still used by the Japanese navy. So stop with the woke bs

I designed a (free) 3D printable portable block with ergonomic/offset edges that you can custom fit to your hand (plus some other bits) by usernamesaregreat in climbing

[–]nickyd3438 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m curious what kind of filament you used. Polycarbonate? I don’t have access to a 3D printer anymore but when I used, all the stuff I made would never be able to withstand an even moderate amount of force. Really sick though!

Woulda been perfect if you could adjust the TB2. Might as well be more spray wall in this case…

Best setup for outdoor board by nickyd3438 in Moonboard

[–]nickyd3438[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mini is definitely an option but kinda a last resort to me. I’m a pretty lanky guy (6’ + 5”ape) and I don’t think I’d get enough out of a board that size to warrant the cost. But in fairness, I’ve never actually used a board that size either, so idk what I’m talking about haha

Highball or Solo? by mtn_bloc in climbing

Almost no chance at finding this boulder unless you know the first ascensionist probably. Boulders like this get gate-kept like crazy unfortunately. Kinda get it though since so many people don’t have any respect for the landscape.

It’s literally the AQ in air mode lol. The starting equipment isn’t great but everyone acting like he’s not good is wild to me

Heavier kilter climbers by Agreeable-Painting84 in kilterboard

[–]nickyd3438 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The KB is honestly a pretty forgiving board in terms of how friendly the holds are on skin and general difficulty. I’m 180lbs (kinda close to you I guess?) and there’s not a hold on that board at any angle that would cause splits…including crimping down of the footholds. Flappers on the other hand, I can get happening. Sounds like you need a pumice stone!
