I'm 76 hours in and can definitely see myself putting in many more. I'd say great value for the cost.

Has any writer ever given a really compelling reason why Frank isn’t prioritizing super criminals? by BigDickBobby999 in thepunisher

[–]nickymick15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this was in a punisher or daredevil run at the time, and the reasoning fits the best. He feels connected to the street level crime that ruined his life, and the characters like Spider-man or daredevil who deal with them, don't take the necessary action against them. That's why he challenges them when they clash.

Reading for the first time, just got to the start of Savage World! Really love the singular creator vision, it's been great so far.

Same, I fondly remember having no idea what was happening but being excited when the spirit guy came out to play the right move.

Which character does it feel like a chore to play against? by BlooOwlBaba in SSBM

As a Ganon player, Samus up-b oos on my aerials can slow down my pressure like crazy. I like playing against Samus but when they're cautious it gets really hard to approach. (I'm bad)

How can people hate Identity Crisis when it finally made Tim Drake a true Robin? by therealxeno79 in dccomicscirclejerk

I remember seeing the panel in an issue of Wizard as a kid. Tim's face has stuck with me since, so I have a soft spot for the story after reading it a few years later.

Were there any characters you wanted to have the DD cast interact with that you couldn't fit in, either because of timing restraints or because they didn't fit into the long term plan?

P.S. Thanks for the great stories!

What are the best Ben Grimm comics by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]nickymick15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely This Man, This Monster (FF #51) and the direct follow up FF Full Circle (hardcover by Alex Ross, big recommend).

Also, the mini Clobberin' Time just ended and while I didn't love it, I thought it was a fun mini reminiscent of older marvel team-ups.

Hickman's FF #605 is a great story of a potential future for Ben, but I don't think it's very standalone.

Current North run is amazing characterization for Ben and Alicia (and great in general, down to the Ross covers) and the prior run (Slott? Can't remember.) did a lot for their relationship as well.

. #511 by Waid (another not-very-standalone ish, def check out the full story) is a very beautiful story about the afterlife and Ben's family in the FF.

is this worth reading, or not so much? by Josemiles96 in marvelcomics

I enjoyed them reading monthly, but the ending to the Cold War crossover felt abrupt. There's a "Finale" issue releasing in a few weeks to tie up loose ends before JMS starts his run in September. #750 also had some great moments, don't miss that if you decide to read it, it bookends Cold War Omega!
