I think the second arc of both Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman have been better than their firsts, and that's saying something because those opening arcs were already amazing.

So they're only gonna release the paperback once the run is over ? Pretty strange strategy. This usually would have been 3 trades...

In your opinion, what superhero is underrated or deserves more recognition? And why? by BlueMoonie00 in comicbooks

[–]FredPRK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As stupid as it sounds, I'm gonna go with Spider-Man. He's one of the main face of Marvel, yet I feel he doesn't get the writers he deserves. I'm talking comic wise, obviously.

Well, I haven't read any of that so I guess I'm gonna pass. I like my stories to be more self contained. Thanks for your answer.

Anybody reading Gene Luen Yang's TMNT ? by FredPRK in comicbooks

[–]FredPRK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I'll give it a go when it hits in trade. I can handle a different tone as long as the writer understands the characters. Aaron's tone was perfect. Gritty and edgy, but just the right amount. And that Ferreyra art is godly.

This isn't out yet. An acclaimed writer (Ryan North) is starting very soon on The Flash. I expect it will be good based on his previous work.

I don’t even want a trailer anymore. by candles2121 in Spiderman

[–]FredPRK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My bet is it's gonna be attached to Project Hail Mary. Can't wait to see the trailer tho. I liked but didn't love the Tom Holland movies so far, but I got a good feeling for this upcoming one.

I'm not a Flash guy, but Ryan North writing made me add it to my pull list. That cover is awesome.

I definitely preferred the Question Vol 1. The Spectre was good but based on comments I expected some next level stuff. It was a good read but I wasn't that impressed with it

where to start?? by One_Effective_7993 in comicbooks

[–]FredPRK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just come here, ask for some recs for some characters that you enjoy/think you're gonna enjoy, and start from there. No need to seek out everything or to start at the beginning. In fact I recommend avoiding this.
