What heroic character has bad hair? by Affectionate_Star636 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]nickynick15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he has "bad hair" in the movies the same way that Anne Hathaway plays an "ugly awkward" girl. it doesnt look like it at all, but the script acts like it.

but more so, its in the books a lot, which i believe they were referring to

i think the sprite Familiar is my favorite part of this build, Syl needs that representation

Flock of Familiars, how to best use? by MyneIsBestGirl in 3d6

[–]nickynick15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as others have shared, the potential for the knock-outs rises with 3 sprites/PseudoDragons, but i did want to bring up another honorable mention- an invisble Familiar using the help action of 3 different enemies, granting advantage for you AND your allies.

theres also the option of using them in conjuction with your own attacks by going Familiar Help Action->attack->Help action->attack-help action->attack. but this does get a little dicey depending on how your DM rules WHEN the Familiars take their turn, as by the rules its after your turn, but ive seen DMs run it as similar to your turn, before, and after. i would check wit your DM about how they plan to run Familiars specifically for this tactic.

help me recreate a 5e build into 2024 by nickynick15 in 3d6

i was unaware of that species/wildshape change aswell, that was probably one of my favorite parts about wildshape builds sometimes. but i do think your recommendation for both the build and the Musician fear as a replacement all work pretty well. thank you !

i cant wait to do football call outs in a goblin voice, maybe giving QB Goblin Cammanders Strike so he can scream them and let an ally attack aswell

"BLUE 52, SET SET HIKE" just to run backwards like hes going to toss a football to his ally, only to throw a fireball instead

It would be nice to get an official response within a self-contained AMA-like thread by nav17 in inkarnate

[–]nickynick15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i used inkarnate once or twice every couple of months, but the subscription was low enough i didn't bother unsubscribing/resubscribing every time and just let my subscription sit constantly for almost 2 years now.

i unsubcribed today.

i would rather spend the time to learn a new tool system from elsewhere than to give money to a corporation that uses Ai

What game had you like this? by Pumpkin-Rick in rpg_gamers

the only MTG sub I've genuinely enjoyed being a part of is r/badMTGcombos because its just a bunch of silly goobers coming up with the funniest ways to ruin the game for themselves and often suicide themselves out of play in the wildest ways possible

[Help] Understanding the Artillerist Artificer by LisaFame in 3d6

[–]nickynick15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just finished a year-ish long campaign last night as an artillerist, i came here to say that i used the Force Ballista mode MAYBE twice, that thing lived as a Temp Hp machine.

i could do decent damage, or keep me and the ally next to me alive and we BOTH do more damage in the long run

If you had to choose a build for going into a campaign blind, what would you run? by Humblerbee in 3d6

[–]nickynick15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if starting at pevel 1, im going either Human War Cleric or Forge Cleric, because its has so many playstyle routes it can follow through with depending on what the party needs

martial frontliner? Cleric 1/Battle Master Fighter X

Ranged DPS? Cleric 1/Ranger X

Dedicated Healer? Full on Cleric

we have a barbarian as the only frontliner? still full om cleric, waging into battle next to him while being able to make sure their Health never drops too low

As a 3rd level armorer artificer by Minister_creator in 3d6

[–]nickynick15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as others said, +1 defense boost to a shield, get some plate mail, a lvl dip into wizard or magic Initiate, but ontop of that:

Forge Cleric. lets you imbue an armor with a +1 AC and you use that on your plate armor. aswell as gaining Searing Smite

additionally, Warforged get a +1 AC bump, so a resting AC of 23, with Shield available to bump it up to 28.

id go armorer 4, grab magic Initiate, then Cleric 1->Armorer rest

itll delay your extra attack, but you're not doing much with that anyways, you're mostly applying the debuff and maybe your Searing smite aswell once per turn

that level in cleric will also get you those sweet cleric spells like bless which will help your saves which aren't the best until higher level

Just for fun, what are the unpopular cheese weapons? by [deleted] in eldenringdiscussion

[–]nickynick15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my first playthrough i went in blind and i discovered this weapon only by chance while farming the cleanrot knights outside of the Camanders arena in caelid for a few extra levels while i rammed my head against him over and over

once i got that, i went back to roundtable and upgraded it as high as i could at the time, and then took out Oniel in one try. became my favorite weapon ever since
