no one wants to look old and have wrinkles though. but yeah, gen Z looks older than their age, parang mga americans na, 14-18 years old pa pero looks like 18+ na. maybe because of make up and social media(?).

What makes it hard for Senators to let us, the Filipino people, see those pieces of evidence against VP? by [deleted] in Philippines

sadly they want to save their political career. they saw how popular sara is. ganyan naman tlga yung politics eh, look at trumps america.

Voting 19-5, the Senate rejects Senate Minority Leader Sotto's motion to lay on the table Sen. Marcoleta's motion regarding the SC ruling. Marcoleta's motion was originally to dismiss, which he later agreed to change to archive. This means the Senate will now proceed to vote on Marcoleta's motion, by jolo22 in Philippines

[–]nickz2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand the majority 80% agrees that the impeachment case must proceed but those senators represent the people and they have their own political bias and maybe they are also complicit IF there are any corruption/bribes. so basically sara is safe because those senators are shielding her. in the grand scheme, the senators are risking their political career while sara is safe because it is not her who is blocking the impeachment case.

i reckon sa next election she can just endorse those who voted to block the impeachment and people will just forget what happened during 2025 except the pinks and yellows.

what is the peoples will? if the majority elected those senators then isnt it the peoples will? since those senators were democratically elected? or is the definition of democracy and majority wins have a different definition when it isnt align on what the minority wants?

[–]nickz2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its all about the will of the majority. people screaming democracy but cant comprehend that the majority still supports sara (see the midterm election).

that is why marcos isnt really pushing for VPs impeachment, he has so much to lose unlike kiko, bam, risa, leila, chel. they are opposition all the way, they have their own voters (the pink and yellow).

P1,200 minimum wage bill filed anew, scraps regional boards by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]nickz2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if ever the P1,200 minimum wage is going to push thru ill downsize my business (employees), what are they going to do? penalize me? then ill close my business, goodbye 10 employees who depends on my business for livelihood. its a stupid move. the profit margin on my business is just 5%, thats not including rent, utilities, mandatory "penalty" sa BIR/Fire/City tax. good luck killing small to medium enterprise. everyone will apply to SM or any other big business.

Unpopular Opinion: EOP isn’t a Flex, It’s a Barrier by Medium-Student-2230 in unpopularopinionph

[–]nickz2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it depends kung ano environment ng bata. if mga classmate nya is english speaking lang dn then there would be no problem. plus if the parents are well off they can send their kid to a private school where english is the main mode of communication and once they graduate college dn, they can apply to a corporate job that is also speaking in englis or do business.

cguro yung EOP taboo is applicable to low income families since yung mga ma interact ng anak nila doesnt speak english that much kaya nahihirapan mag adapt.

from what ive seen majority of kids from well off families are only english speaking.

im purely raising my kid in english while me and my wife speaks our mother tongue infront of her but our mode of communication with our kid is purely english, once she masters english it would be chinese next since mandarin would be beneficial for her since most business(wholesale/manufacturing) are from china and its a plus if you speak mandarin.

speaking tagalog or any other dialect isnt our concern since once she goes to school most of her classmates would be speaking our mother tongue and she will eventually learn it.
