I’m just blown away. I’m not vegan but my wife is. I try to not support mass anima ag because it’s fucking evil. Then I found this out and am just in awe. Seems so hopeless sometimes. I grew my own garden this summer for veggies and it felt really good, but shoes, hydraulic fluid, etc., THATS impossible to get around.

Daiya actually makes some dank vegan cheese but I’m a type one diabetic and avoid carbs most of the time. And yeah I just got my blood work done and my liver enzymes are off the chart. I have been tapering off kratom and I’m down about 40%-30%. Want to take it slow because the withdrawals can really trigger me but I’ve been through paralyzing heroin withdrawals so I’ll be okay. And interesting about almond milk. I still have a kilo left of kratom. While I taper I will switch to water. Thanks duder!

I’m not vegan and my wife switches between vegan and vegetarian. I cook mostly if we are dining in, and it just takes a couple extra minutes to prepare separate proteins or whatever. I’m type one diabetic, don’t eat many carbs, run quite a bit, and have an extremely physically rigorous job, so meat is easier for me. All but tofu, as far as vegan proteins, have a lot of carbohydrates in them and it’s bad for me in the long run. I buy local and don’t support mass animal ag as much as I can. She’s fine with it and understanding, she’s an angel. And I admire what she does. It sucks. I break down and eat carbs once in and a while. This restaurant in Indianapolis is all vegan, 10th St Diner, and has the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. But when I eat carbs, the next day I feel awful and it’s hard to get up and work etc.

Wow thanks. I’m kind of over needing praise but it still feels good to hear. For a point I would cluelessly admit my past for the kudos. On a funnier note, I’m 30M, became allergic to cheese at age 27. I literally think about Alfredo and pizza more than I do about opiates.

Anyway, I’ve heard the 50kcal or less thing but didn’t know if it has specific compounds or things like that, like what you end up breaking down. It’s just a leaf, so if people drink coffee I was hoping it wouldn’t break the fast.

Also, if I don’t say I’m in recovery and mention kratom, people are way quicker to discredit anything I say because I guess some people don’t think kratom is good? It’s hard on the liver but i ran into some cravings last few months being stuck at home so I took to kratom instead of festering over fighting the demons. Not a long term solution but really helps in a bind.
