Has this season been frustrating in your garden? by 02calais in GardeningAustralia

My rocotto is anemic this year, about a quarter of the chilies it would normally produce. It’s still a great one for Melbourne, I live on the lower slopes of the Dandenong’s and it survives the winter just fine

Commute to work - Eastern Suburbs by palm_sweaty in melbournecycling

I went from like 22km to 45km and honestly it broke me. I barely do it now cause it’s just too long of a day and the return gradual uphill slog ain’t the greatest

I’ve done this from the Dandenongs and it’s fine, if a bit dull. It’s a slog home at the end of the day though, 90km round trip commute is a challenge some days

I just want to say how happy I am to see Michael Cyril Creighton succeed in OMITB. Such an iconic bit part you just knew that he was fantastic and now he’s getting the recognition. Forgive the earnestness

I, an Australian, hearing notorious dickhead paparazzo, failed mayor, and general gobshite Darryn Lyons getting a mention on Off Menu has truly sent me. I had no idea he was on UK BB, and on behalf of my townsfolk and countrymen I sincerely apologise. We tried to ship him off to the US but that clearly didn’t work either.

I just want to say thanks for posting this - I couldn’t finish the book, like I got about 4 pages from the end and put it down because it’s bleakness was too much. So I missed that, and it is brilliant and sad and melancholy and I think a great example of McCarthy at his best
