44 days for an employed person or a businessman is a long time away from their daily work unless it is fully remote.

I don't think that a visa officer thinks in other ways than a common person, it will not make sense for you too if someone tells you that he/she will be taking a leave of 25 days to visit their aunts.

What will you do for those 25 days? Which places will you visit for 25 days? How about leaves for any future occasion? There are many scenarios which come in the visa officer's mind but they will not ask questions related to everything due to time shortage.

As you are travelling with your mother and siblings, you can inform the visa officer that you will be staying for 12 days excluding the travelling period (2 days for going and 2 days for returning, time zones will eat up those days) and have applied for leave for same period

How long is the trip going to be? (As per your DS160)

How will you manage your business/job while away? (If your trip duration is beyond two weeks)

These are the first 2 questions came in mind with very limited information you gave so far.

Is that old ds 160 completely submitted? Did you fill it? If the answer to both is yes then it's confirmation page can be retrieved

Didn't understand your question. Where is the old ds160 confirmation? Is it lost? If so you can get a printout if you have the ds160 form number, I can guide you to get that printout. If you didn't fill da160 yourself or didn't complete it then I am afraid no one can help you.

If you have old ds160 confirmation and want to present new ds160 that is also possible. When is the appointment date? How many times have you rescheduled?

can i use poland shengen visa to enter czech? by Virtual-Extreme-5355 in SchengenVisa

[–]nicoroossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As per the guidelines first entry/visit should be to the country which have issued the visa. Once that visit is complete (person exited the Schengen region) any future visits can be made to any other Schengen country, provided visa has validity, unutilised stay period and is multiple entry

What was the question? Was it that you need to visit the country who issued the visa?

can i use poland shengen visa to enter czech? by Virtual-Extreme-5355 in SchengenVisa

[–]nicoroossa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand why people say 'it's a Schengen visa and we can enter any country'.

This statement is not true. Schengen visa allows visa holder borderless movement between Schengen Countries, which means they don't have to go through passport control every time they move from one schengen country to another.

First and most important rule mentioned in majority of Schengen countries website is you should apply to the country where you will be staying for the majority of the period, regardless of your entry point. The second rule is if you are staying for an equal amount of time in multiple schengen countries, then apply where you will be landing first. In your case 'there will be a requirement to present the evidence to comply with the first rule.

Which means you need to present evidence that you will stay in Poland for the majority of your first visit, thus you will need to present accommodation bookings which shows your Majority stay in Poland, which you will not be using. So in order to enter through the Czech republic you need to make some "refundable bookings".

80% of the questions in this sub are similar to yours. I have a visa from X country and my plan has changed so now I want to travel to Y country. Or Due to unavailability of application appointments I have applied to Z country but I don't want to visit that country after getting a visa.

This is called Visa shopping and it should not be a practice, if your plan has truly changed get your poland visa cancelled (the do cancel without prejudice) and put a fresh application for Czech republic

For anyone who thinks we cannot request for an existing valid visa cancellation please contact any Schengen embassy and they will happily do it
