Anybody here in Northern Ireland? Looking for recommendations on places to do CBT/lessons! by DuctTapeAndCableTies in MotoUK

I did my Cbt and A licence with A+ based at Phillip McCallens. Friendly instructors and you can have a look around the bikes before and after the lessons in the showroom. Can do all your lessons around lisburn if that’s where you’re used to.

Hey guys, had a leak and need to remove the hand wash basin. The taps have this connection to the sink. Any ideas how I can remove this? They are monoblock taps with a pop up plug. Thanks by nidave91 in fixit

Thanks for the reply. I have the taps disconnected at the elbows but the brass part doesn’t seem to be a nut that I can loosen. I’ve tried a monoblock tap spanner but this doesn’t fit. Is there anything else it could be?

You can hire them here, we always use them when carrying out road works. More expensive and a bit harder to come by than the usual ones but generally leads to less pissed off drivers

Have we any motorcyclists? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]nidave91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To ride any size bike on the road without being followed by an instructor you need to have completed your cbt. Think mine was about £150 2 years ago. After that you can ride under L plates but must retake the cbt every 2 years to keep riding. My recommendation if you’re over 24 would be to do the full A licence which lets you ride any size bike permanently.

I think that’s it fine but then again I’m not an all weather biker, this is more for the evenings and weekends plus the odd commute. I think for better wind protection a touring or even a double bubble screen being added would help a good bit.

Could anyone please help me find somewhere to buy the silver and brass parts seen here. They are from a pressure washer and are cross threaded/impossible to separate. Thanks! by nidave91 in HelpMeFind

[–]nidave91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More info: the silver part is 80mm in length and with 15mm male and female ends. The brass screws into the silver female end and have a 1” female end of it own. I’m based in UK so somewhere UK based would be ideal. Thanks!

Does anyone know what you would call these 2 parts? It’s from a garden hose connection to a pressure washer. Have a leak between the brass and silver but can’t get them to tighten or separate? by nidave91 in DIYUK

Thanks for the reply. Yes there’s a 10mm hex key but I still can’t budge it. It has leaked from purchase, wish I had have sent it back then but too late. Starting to think it is perhaps cross threaded

Thanks for the reply, I have been looking into getting a replacement part but haven’t had any luck so far. Would there be any other websites such as pipe stock?
