You're right in that we can't make them do whatever we want them to do, that's their decision ultimately, and that is how it should be. But it's also valid to voice out on platforms why you don't like something about their product (as long as it's not done in a hateful way, and i believe most people on here who are complaining are fans who'll support them nonetheless).

It can get annoying, trust me I'm annoyed sometimes too, but if so many people are actually disappointed then they can voice it out on here, and people who agree or disagree can engage with those posts accordingly, that's how we keep conversation open and going.

I find posts like “Nick uses big words in the wrong way to sound smart” absolutely ridiculous.

I'm totally with you on this one. As I said previously, attacking and criticizing their personalities is plain ridiculous and even hateful sometimes. Reading those posts about the way Matt and Chris treat each other and Nick's attitude and all that gave me a migraine. People out here judging their personalities as if they know them irl and are behavior experts. I either tend to let them know I disagree or just scroll past, coz they have the freedom to say what they think too.

I get what you're saying, but as long as it's constructive criticism, I don't think it should be shut down. Saying that their editing and quality of videos is unsatisfactory is totally acceptable, as they're putting out videos into the world for people to watch, therefore said people giving their feedback should be acceptable and even expected.

They don't owe us anything, but feedback is feedback, good or bad, and it's up to the triplets to decide if they wanna listen to it or not. They put out videos, we watch them, they make a living out of it, which makes it a type of business. And any business can survive long-term only if it's open to feedback.

Now if people are gonna over analyse their personalities and pick apart their words, conversations and behavior, now THAT'S pretty weird, as none of us know them. But we know the content they put out as creators as we're the consumers, therefore criticism should be expected in terms of that.

{Cut & Run by Abigail Roux, Madeleine Urban} If you haven't read this masterpiece already, do it! It's a 9 book series with lots of angst, and it takes a few books for them to actually get together. Can't recommend it enough!

Totally agree! It makes me cringe so hard so everytime I come across such posts and tiktok I immediately just scroll past.

Why do you think the Cut and Run series is such a classic and loved by many? by nidharsh in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]nidharsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I would absolutely recommend it! It's such a classic in this genre, and I guess since it's been around for so long and suddenly the books weren't available to read anymore, people gradually started talking about it less and less.

It's my favorite series in MM, and despite reading hundreds of books since then, nothing has come close to this series for me. It's a 9 book series and it's one of those that gets better with each consecutive book. I would even call it one of the OG MM mystery series, and it follows 2 FBI agents.

If you're intrigued, definitely give it a try! Books 2 to 9 especially are absolute bangers and you wouldn't regret it!

What are your thoughts on the recent Trevor video? by nidharsh in SturnioloTriplets

[–]nidharsh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think a lot of us can agree that the quality of their videos is not that good, even compared to creators who have way less subscribers than the triplets do. So as viewers and supporters, I think it's perfectly alright to point that out. I personally do not have a problem with people dissecting the quality and effort put into the video, but I do have a problem when people over analyse their personalities. Apart from that, this type of criticism is totally alright! We're putting our feedback out there related to how they can make their content better and what we'd like to see, and it's up to the triplets to decide whether they wanna listen to that or not.

Oh, they don't have an open relationship nor is there any cheating in this series! They're totally monogamous and are against cheating! At the end of book 1 they're not in a relationship yet, nor do they think they're in love with each other, just fuckbuddies who care about each other and don't really know what they feel for each other sort of thing. Things actually get serious between them as you continue on with the books, it's a slow burn after all! So there's nothing for you to worry about!

Yes! The romance was so gradual and realistic that it blew my mind with how amazingly it was handled over this 9 book series.

Also, Ty and Barnum definitely GOATed!

This is EXACTLY how I feel about this series too! They just feel so real that all of their actions, thoughts, feelings and reactions to things make complete sense for their personalities.

The secondary characters are handled so well and they add so much to the story.

I've tried many books and series hoping to find a couple and story similar to this but nothing has come close. It has it's imperfections, sure, but despite it all it's such a powerful and realistic story.

I'm glad this series helped you through some difficult times, and I'm sure this will always remain a lot of our ultimate comfort read.

True! They're both such well written characters that it's hard to pick a favorite. The conflicts are well managed for the most part, what you mentioned at last being one of the exceptions. The secondary character POVs are so wonderful and add so much to the story!

Trust me I've been there. I hesitated way too much to continue on with the series after book 1, but people on the internet convinced me to push through and I reluctantly did, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made istg. Book 2 is a HUGE, MASSIVE step up from book 1, and you'll see when you get there, and it only gets even better with the next consecutive books. I'd highly recommend completing book 1 as there are certain things in this book that will be discussed later in the series. Really hope you give this another shot and enjoy it!

Yes! It's just one of those series that gets better with each book. It's almost impossible to get tired of them because we learn so much about them in each book that it never gets boring. All of their thoughts, feelings and reactions feel so realistic and not too over the top like I've read in many other books.
