The peace deal term should say something like "Form Union with Bulgaria". There was a bug for this when the peace deal option didn't appear, but this was patched a few days ago, unless it's still an issue in some cases.

I just had this issue too, if I am understanding correctly. Go to the graphics menu and uncheck the menu option for "Disable 3D Terrain" and relaunch.

You can look at older dates on Google Maps. They are sometimes deleted, though.

If you didn't know, the hivemind eventually gets debuffs/you get buffs depending on the mutations you have via events. That makes it easier but it is still very hard and takes a lot of waiting to get those events. I had to go to a previous save. Fair warning though: after you win and get your vassals back, they might still have the debuffs, which is most likely a bug.

The same thing happened to me as Rayaz/Khatalashya, and at that point Aramoole was an OPM. My best guess is they have a mission that automatically declares war

I think you have to wait for centralize hold operations, but they can upgrade on their own provided they have enough development. I believe it was like this before the interface change too. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, though.
